Happy Fox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 The Thais will do what they see best we all know they want promotion asap, if they think NP is the man to deliver that they are not going to sack him unless results are shitty. I doubt loosing on Saturday will get NP the sack what will get him the sack is if he doesn't get rid of the deadwood come the summer.
FrankieADZ Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 If we had not spent a lot of money on the players we have then your arguement may hold some water. The fact is that every team has different ambitions in this division. Ours was to be challenging for promotion not scraping in the middle of the division still searching for back to back wins in the league. I can see what you mean but its not Pearson whos spent all the money we know who did that and he got "Das Boot" While I agree we should be aiming high in our ambitions...& the only ppl who can be blamed for the results are the players....oh and the ref's All about expectation mate. This isn't just a problem at Leicester, though it has been heightened due to our spending pre-season. Fans expect instant success now! I'm not quite sure where this has stemmed from? Did fans always boo when we were losing at half time? Did fans always used to call for a managers head after a few months in the job? I have to admit i expected better this season...but then again..this is Leicester; we shouldnt take anything as a given as for booing and managers..they didnt; they had time to stamp there ideas on the team..which can sometimes take a while depending on the set of players they have.
caz05 Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Actually position wise we are closer. Sven left us in 13th and Svens PPG ratio would currently have us one place and about two points better off. Remind me what football was exciting this season under Sven? So you would drop who upfront for Delfonso, and what has he done EVER to warrant being in front of the other two? Marshall has been here for FOUR games. You think we were going to change the team for Watford after two decent performances against Boro and Cardiff? Howard didn't make the bench for Cardiff, how do you know Delfonso wasn't injured? We have no other options at the moment. Really... their current ppg ratio over the last 8 games is exactly the same as ours. You see no reason? Completely ignoring he started slowly at Hull until he got his message across and got his own men in. And get them above Sven and his expensive stars. :chant:
HEGGSY Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 He's got a poorer return in points than we had under Sven We're further from the play-offs than under Sven The football isn't as enetertaining He continues to play Danns and Gallagher He leaves Marshall and Delfonso on the bench (at best) He continues to pick Howard and actually plays the useless lump. Hull have improved since he left, with a manger with no experience. Looking at his career in this division I see no reason, at the moment, as to why he should be given the rest of this season, let alone more money and the start of next season. Our league record is attrocious and reads something like Gallaghers run of form, great for 1 game, alright for the next, shite for the next 2 (Gallagher is normally dropped for game 4) and then it all starts again.
buzzy Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 why another thread like this . it get's so boring and some people on here can't have any life outside this forum
Heskey2011 Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Seriously Ric... you think this is the words of a man who thinks Pearson is close to getting chopped? http://www.bbc.co.uk.../17018425#asset Just seen the interview and that's cheered my right up, the directors seem to really value NP and blame most of our shortcomings on Sven. I liked Sven tbh and don't think he deserved the boot but the squad was massive with big names not playing and that's got to be a negative influence.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 16 February 2012 Posted 16 February 2012 If they still believe chopping and changing is the best way to go about things then they're ****ing idiots and you don't build a successful business empire by being a ****ing idiot. So no, they won't get rid of Pearson and I don't really know why this thread exists You may well have to eat your words before too long. The Thais wont be patient, methinks.
Babylon Posted 16 February 2012 Posted 16 February 2012 You may well have to eat your words before too long. The Thais wont be patient, methinks. Well they gave Sven a year of midtable mediocrity, why would they not give Pearson the same?
Legend_in_blue Posted 16 February 2012 Posted 16 February 2012 If NP was to be sacked, I'd have to wonder where that leaves the position of the owners tbh. The majority of fans would probably turn on them. Shouldn't happen. Won't happen.
