kingfox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 When I say Pearson will get sacked, it will happen. I have psychic abilities me, I said Sven will be sacked by Monday when we lost against Millwall, and what happened he got sacked on the Monday. I have been psychic a few times, I believe if we lose two more home games he will be down the road. Im starting to doubt this appointment myself, he hasn't really made any strides since re joining, in fact I think we are doing worse under him than under Sven, at least with Sven we were 8th and only 3-4 points from the play offs. Now with Pearson our inconsistency is still occuring, and now we are exactly mid-table and 9 points from the play offs. They do say never go back, and to be honest that saying is taking a slow affect on Pearson. I would like Warnock at our club, despite everything he has said about different clubs including ourselves. His record is absolute quality.

Houdini Logic Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 So the most reliable source we have that Pearson may be sacked is a guy who thinks he's psychic. I'll be back in a few days...
cc_star Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 He's got a poorer return in points than we had under Sven We're further from the play-offs than under Sven The football isn't as enetertaining He continues to play Danns and Gallagher He leaves Marshall and Delfonso on the bench (at best) He continues to pick Howard and actually plays the useless lump. Hull have improved since he left, with a manger with no experience. Looking at his career in this division I see no reason, at the moment, as to why he should be given the rest of this season, let alone more money and the start of next season. Our league record is attrocious and reads something like Gallaghers run of form, great for 1 game, alright for the next, shite for the next 2 (Gallagher is normally dropped for game 4) and then it all starts again. Sven was given the money to buy the league, his points per game would have lead to us being 1 position higher than we are now I find the love-in hilarious NP's brief & the owners words seems to have changed & whilst they still want promotion it appears that they a) Have appointed a manager they know likes to build teams & replaced expensive high waged non-achiever at Hull with young, hungry & cheaper players who climbed the table (after a shakey 1st few months) b) Are talking about being in the top flight over the next couple of seasons, with no pressure for this year They've seen the throw money at it & hope for the best approach blatently doesn't work & have changed tact... Think plenty of fans need to follow them & see that in signing a 20 & 21 year old, we're starting to build something, they'll be plenty more of that over the summer too, especially when we get rid of all these under/non-achieving mid-table specialists Makes me laugh that Gally gets the blame because he has one good game, one average one & then one poor one... In case you hadn't noticed the whole team do... Mills, SSL, Beckford, Peltier, almost everyone except for Kasper & Konch, that isn't one player's fault. What do you specifically know about Marshall that NP hasn't seen everyday on the training ground & we didn't know when scouting him? He excelled in Lg1, is young lad & is playing a part in games as we ease him in.
Yojoe36 Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 This season has really been a balls up. God knows what will happen at the end of the season, or even in upcoming weeks.

cc_star Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 only 3-4 points from the play offs. Right, do the maths... we were less points off the play-offs because we'd played less games, not through any genius management, We were 14th & it's obvious to anyone that if you're scoring less points than rival teams... over time that gap would grow Very basic to work out! Also, if Sven's points per game had continued we'd be only 1 place better off than we are now, basically we'd be above ourselves o_O All hail Sven
Corky Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 I hope they don't. This season is a write-off, wastefully, so Pearson should be given a chance for next year.
General Smuts Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 This is why I only venture in this part of the forum to ask journalists about My Little Pony. Babylon and Ric aside, you lot are all morons.

Guy Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 I for one hope they don't get trigger happy. I'd like to see Pearson get a full pre-season and see how we start the next campaign in the championship, barring no miracles that is. Yep, me too. We all know what happened both times NP had a full pre-season at his disposal in 2008 and 2009. Sacking him for not getting us to the FA Cup final or gaining promotion would be.........the WRONG decision. It's obvious we are going to do neither now, barring a miracle so I say stick with him regardless. Pearson gave up a lot to return here and I just hope the Thais see sense and stick with him after May.
Stevie Synex Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 I think this is simple.... The Thais like Pearson. They paid another fortune to get him. However, first and foremost they are businessmen who will not accept mediocrity. Taking this in mind, I think Nige will get money to spend over the summer, AND probably ten games to be in the top six... If we aren't there come October time, he's out... IMO. Agree with this

ousefox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 There is no chance Pearson will get sacked this season! That will have been one of his guarantees on his contract as it would have been a tough task for a new manager in a new environment. We will come good next season and do at least as good as Boro have this season. Took him a year to sort things out at Hull and look where they ended up. If they did sack Pearson i'd be disgusted, but it won't happen.
ibbosuk Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Seriously Ric... you think this is the words of a man who thinks Pearson is close to getting chopped? http://www.bbc.co.uk.../17018425#asset I think that could all change if there is no improvement made between now and the end of the season.
Webbo Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 I can't see Pearson getting the sack this season. If we're not in the top 7 by October then maybe.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 I think that could all change if there is no improvement made between now and the end of the season. If they accept that we are not going to be promoted and we do not get relegated then I do not see why this would change. Whether we finish 8th or 20th does not really matter if they want to give hm the chance to build. I think everybody can accept that bar a minor miracle we are not going to get into the play offs this season.
Dav Fox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 If we do lose, I hope Nige can get some new quotes for the after game interview. I'm getting fed up with 'not good enough' 'deserved to win that game' and 'I would have been disappointed to have drawn that game'
FrankieADZ Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Really dont get some of our fans....personally I dont know why you'd want someone getting the sack when they arent doing that bad a job. I could understand if we was in the bottom 3 and on a losing run....but we arent

I could understand if we was in the bottom 3 and on a losing run....but we arent If we had not spent a lot of money on the players we have then your arguement may hold some water. The fact is that every team has different ambitions in this division. Ours was to be challenging for promotion not scraping in the middle of the division still searching for back to back wins in the league.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 To the people saying Pearson will get the sack.. http://www.bbc.co.uk.../17018425#asset No promotion pressure on Leicester - Andrew Neville Leicester City football director Andrew Neville tells BBC Midlands Late Kick Off that the Foxes would have got promotion if Nigel Pearson had been at the club at the start of the season. He says the target is still promotion and the club's owners are prepared to wait. EDIT: Also you say that Hull are doing well without him, but that is his squad he has put together not Nick Barmby, whereas this is Sven's squad not Pearson's, Let Pearson get some budget, get rid of a few players and bring in some of his own with a good pre season aswell.

This isn't just a problem at Leicester, though it has been heightened due to our spending pre-season. Fans expect instant success now! I'm not quite sure where this has stemmed from? Did fans always boo when we were losing at half time? Did fans always used to call for a managers head after a few months in the job?
