Got sent this from a mate of mine, really interesting interview with David Sullivan and how football transfers really work.

Martin Oneill is the manager that almost joined in Jan, apparently.

I am LCFC through and through but I do admire West Ham. A proper club with tradition, history and massive fan base. I remember watching their football in the 60's with Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst etc and agree with BBC's Jonathan Pearce that their football under Ron Greenwood was some of the best football ever seen in this country.

Wish somebody from our club would do that so we know what goes on, Sullivan and Gold are happy to let people know things, all we do is have Andrew Neville say things which aren't true. Won't do any harm as that window is over.

That's a cracking article, parts 1 and 2 are linked on there and there's 5 more to come. Very insightful and fair play to David Sullivan for doing it and being honest as well, would love something like that from our owners.

Go and support West Ham! :glare: We want REAL supporters

He states in his post that he is a fox through and through, so why should he support West Ham? idiot

Can't believe they actually went in for Torres lol

Torres should come on loan to a champ club. Would sort him right out

Was it last January when some people on here thought Drogba was coming here on loan?

Grow up, you can support your club AND admire others you know. It may also shock you that I admire Tottenham aswell. Very well run club in fiscal terms, always seem to make a healthy profit year after year, something the majority of premier league clubs fail to do.

3 massive reasons NOT to admire West Ham

1) The ICF

2) The scam they pulled to avoid relegation in 2006-07 to avoid relegation, not properly registering Carlos Tevez. Any other team in any other league would have had a points deduction and/or automatic deduction. But Londoners look after their own, as Harry Redknapp found the other week.

3) Would you feel comfortable if we were owned by a bunch of pimps?

PS the MON story is from Jan 2011 (not 2010 as alleged in the interview) and every media outlet ran the story at that time. Credit to him for steering clear.

WHAT ON EARTH WOULD BIG SAM DO WITH TORRES! Bloody hell Chelsea aren't playing enough passing football to suit him why would he go to the long ball specialists! The west ham "fans" hate the way they play football ATM because of this so called "classic" west Ham and their still top of the bloody league. Some clubs just don't deserve to do well. As for Torres in the championship? Imagine the abuse how could e even get any confidence? Best bet he will go back to spain

By scoring goals?

I dont think the difference in quality is that big? and as i've said West ham wouldnt play the right football for him they scored one past us and took their striker off ffs i doubt there the sort of team that Torres would be interested in

I'm not impressed with someone who airs and comments on other clubs private transfer business in public even if aspects of it are already in the public domain..

I thought the same when I read the article. He's less than complimentary about Bristol City, Rangers and Bolton. I'm sure they won't be too happy to have their dealings discussed out in the open. Having said that, I'm not surprised as he DS strikes me as a total knob-end.

Sullivan and Gold are a pair of barrow boys.

Sullivan walks round looking like Michael Jackson gone wrong and Gold in a sheepskin coat.

They are crass and that interview shows a complete lack of respect.

In addition most of their fans are a bunch of up their own arse essex boys.

No thanks.

Sullivan is in today's Guardian revealing the various clauses in Demba Ba's contract. He makes it known that there is a £7mill release clause in DB's Newcastle contract and also goes I to detail about the way Newcastle are paying him.

Who the **** is he to reveal so much info about another club's player? Why is he even doing thay? If I were a director at Newcastle I'd be fuming.
