The rest fair enough. But basically, out of all the players he signed, 4 of them played well whilst he was in charge. And we NEVER ONCE were in the play-off positions.

Who else did he sign? Oh yeh, Ball and Pantsil who were useless. Johnson who was fat and therefore useless. Fernandes who he played out of position and was therefore useless half the time.

Then there's last season - when he signed Bednar, Kirkland, Ricardo, Van Aanholt and Bruma. Absolutely ****ing useless wastes of space.

He was in charge for a year, spent about £15m, and NEVER ONCE got us into the play-off places. Justify that and you can have a ****ing medal.

I can't believe people are slating Pearson for the mess me are in this season, I was disappointed when Sven got the sack as I thought he could be the man but we have to move on and have a top young manager in Nigel Pearson no doubt.

He hasn't put a wrong really in terms of success, he kept Carlisle up, saved southampton, re-galvanised us and took us straight back up as champions, and then led us straight to playoffs. We were gutted to see him leave and he did a gd job of re grouping Hull who were in free-fall he built a young hungry squad, and given TIME he can do that again here at City with a bit of money behind him in the summer. The team in 6th was getting 1.75 points per game

This means early in the season, fewer games played... the gap will be small... as more matches are played, because Sven was accruing mid-table points per game the gap would get bigger

Lets simplify it, so your obviously tiny brain has a chance of getting it

If us sat in 14th were getting 1.5 points per game and the team in 6th was getting 2 points per game

After 2 games the gap would have been 1 pt (as we would have 3pts and they would have 4pts

After 10 games the gap would have grown to 5pts (we would have 15 they would have 20)

After 30 games the gap would be 15pts (we would have 45 they would have 60)

Do you see quoting what the gap was is the most irrelevant thing ever, because our run-rate was mid-table, and their run rate was good enough for 6th the gap would get bigger over time

There is nothing to separate them, apart from one was on a flat-line of form that was unsustainably expensive, the other is on an upward curve

I said he took us near the play-offs. Which was good up until March, but by the end we were 8 points from the top 6, the same distance as when he took over.

Sven getting us close to the play offs last year only served to foreshadow what would happen this year. We had quality loanees who we were never going to keep, which meant we had to build again, you can't g up if you keep re-building every six months, looking back it was a nailed on failure this year. Not blaming Sven because I imagine the owners pushed last year but we should have started building last January and carried it over into the summer with the foundation already set. May have seen better results this year.
