Kitchandro Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Kasper, Nugent, Danns, Konchesky, Bamba, Sean St Ledger, Peltier, Beckford and IMO Mills Over to you - bet you hate them all doncha? Danns - average St Ledger - Sven didn't pick him he picked... Mills - who is average at best and has a shit attitude. Do you like players who disrespect the fans, his manager and his teammates? Come on, find a leg to stand on with him, try. Peltier - er, sorry where the **** has he been since the first few games? He's been wank for a while. Not good enough. Beckford - I don't think I've seen a worse Leicester player until that Forest match. Maybe Carlo Cort if I'm being generous. Bamba - yeh but he's being kept out of the team by Morgan who's helped keep 3 clean sheets out of his last 4 The rest fair enough. But basically, out of all the players he signed, 4 of them played well whilst he was in charge. And we NEVER ONCE were in the play-off positions. Who else did he sign? Oh yeh, Ball and Pantsil who were useless. Johnson who was fat and therefore useless. Fernandes who he played out of position and was therefore useless half the time. Then there's last season - when he signed Bednar, Kirkland, Ricardo, Van Aanholt and Bruma. Absolutely ****ing useless wastes of space. He was in charge for a year, spent about £15m, and NEVER ONCE got us into the play-off places. Justify that and you can have a ****ing medal.
seenitall Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Gimme gimme gimme (medal). Came from a 5points from 9 games handicap to within a sniff of the play offs (its only last year, you must remember) Had 13 games to cobble his shit players together, as many as Nige has had. Let 3 in against a poor side and got fired. Ssl was dropped for attitude and a poor start and came good. Mills will come good and Beckford and Nugent are fine players. You seem to think that we can have any player we like but look at the average league one fodder that Nige can attract, none of them good enough even for him to play consistently. I think the Svenners will leave and go on to better thimgs, but will we?

Guesty Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 You can't deny Sven made some good signings. Just a pity he couldn't get them to play as a team. Don't get how some people blame Pearson for not getting consistant performances out of a team Sven bought when Sven couldn't do it himself. We all knew in the summer that we needed wingers and a big target man yet Sven bought neither. Pearson hasn't set the world alight but people that still believe Sven would have got us promoted must be either related to him or living in cloud cuckoo land. If after the summer Pearson hasn't assembled a decent team then all the Svens fans will have a valid argument but until then it just looks a bit daft.
lcfcbaby Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Blind faith is good I know the reality I just like to be hopeful!
EnderbyFox Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Blind faith is good Like your Blind faith in Sven? I'm a big advocate of Sven and respected him whilst he was here, but he was hardly mourinho like you make him out to be.

So firstly, you're saying he took Pearson's team that was woefully underperforming to near the play-offs, when he was given more money? You're saying that he took Leicester from 8 points off the play-offs...to 8 points off the play-offs? Brilliant. Knight him. 2nd point - no numbskull, check the facts. He wasn't in charge for 13 games. He was in charge for a year and God knows how many games. SSl, like Beckford, has only come good since Pearson has come. He did the square root of **** all before then, apart from of course handing Bristol 2 points back in August. Mills will come good? Oh so now you're just making predictions? Maybe I should just predict that Pearson will come good? **** it, I'll predict Akinbiyi will make a come back for us and score 40 goals next season. And then underneath that you start to backpedal and make out it's hard to attract players when you're dishing out 40K a week to them It's hard to attract players mid season when Sven has left the team you're managing in midtable, I'll give you that. Sven will go on to better things? On what basis? On the basis that he's failed here? On the basis that his reputation has been tarnished because he's shown to have no tactical nous? I'll ask you again. How do you justify spending as much money as Sven did and not even getting into the top 6 once? I shouldn't really be giving you another chance since you're so stupid but go on...
Danno Posted 7 March 2012 Posted 7 March 2012 Schmeichel - good but overrated by our fans Peltier - Awful defending, always goes sideways Mills - Decent defender, inconsistent SSL - coming into form, gets dominated by big men though Konchesky - Awesome, solid, good going forward too Beckford - Average Nugent - Great, scores goals, goes missing sometimes though Not mentioning anyone who rarely played or we had on loan

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Shut up! How can you say this! Sven spent Millions on underperforming players who thought they could walk this league. He lost the dressing room, and failed to motivate such players/ change their radiculous big man, over confident personalities. Pearson has been sweaping up the mess Sven left behind, and has only just managed to start making us look like a football club again rather than a circuis show! Firstly, no, I won't shut up. It will take more than a little "Oink" like you to do that. Secondly, under Sven we were two points off the play offs, and how do we sit now under Pearson? Far worse off. Thirdly, Pearson appears to be doing very little with the team,in the way of motivation (No man management) Fourthly, he cant err, umm, err, umm, speak properly, and is equally as good at team selection (Extremely inept) Fifthly, Sven brought in some fine players as well as a few who aren't doing so well under Pearson. Sixthly, the Thais won't tolerate failures, so I guess he won't be around come the end of next season. Finally, I don't like the bumptious git. Now finish your ice cream, and go play with your dollies.
Leicester_lad_92 Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 I can't believe people are slating Pearson for the mess me are in this season, I was disappointed when Sven got the sack as I thought he could be the man but we have to move on and have a top young manager in Nigel Pearson no doubt. He hasn't put a wrong really in terms of success, he kept Carlisle up, saved southampton, re-galvanised us and took us straight back up as champions, and then led us straight to playoffs. We were gutted to see him leave and he did a gd job of re grouping Hull who were in free-fall he built a young hungry squad, and given TIME he can do that again here at City with a bit of money behind him in the summer. Stop being fickle and lets try stick a Manager for More than 18months, too inconsistent on the pitch but off it too!! Get behind the team !!!!UTF<3

I keep telling you Sven was getting 1.46 points per game The team in 6th was getting 1.75 points per game This means early in the season, fewer games played... the gap will be small... as more matches are played, because Sven was accruing mid-table points per game the gap would get bigger Lets simplify it, so your obviously tiny brain has a chance of getting it If us sat in 14th were getting 1.5 points per game and the team in 6th was getting 2 points per game After 2 games the gap would have been 1 pt (as we would have 3pts and they would have 4pts After 10 games the gap would have grown to 5pts (we would have 15 they would have 20) After 30 games the gap would be 15pts (we would have 45 they would have 60) Do you see quoting what the gap was is the most irrelevant thing ever, because our run-rate was mid-table, and their run rate was good enough for 6th the gap would get bigger over time I am sick of telling you this For comparison, Nigel Pearson since he joined has got 1.44 points per game... your bumchum Sven got 0.02 points per game more than Nigel Pearson has... despite spending up to £15m in the summer on players of his choosing, most of whom have proved not to be made of winning stuff As a better comparison, Nigel Pearson has got 1.60 points per game in his last 10 games, Sven also got 1.6 points per game in his last 10 games There is nothing to separate them, apart from one was on a flat-line of form that was unsustainably expensive, the other is on an upward curve Give it a rest! 3) You're blind, we're playing as team more over the past 10 or so games than at anytime since he was forced out... probably by the Thais 4) He doesn't speak to the press, every players (who's made of the right stuff & puts the effort in) can't speak highly enough of him... See Bruno's blog for details, even after NP had told him he had no future at the club & he didn't give him a look-in) 5) Players were individuals, some of them have got no talent as a team & I hope they'll be out on their ear in the summer 6) The Thai's assisted in causing this mess by forcing NP out in favour of a name, sure Manderic's name was on the door, but it was them who wanted a 'name' which flopped spectacularly given the spending, The Thai's seemed to have learned the error of their ways & have righted that wrong and are keeping a much lower profile leaving the manager to get on with it, he's here for the summer and a reasonable amount of time afterwards.
Corky Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Sven was two points off the play offs when he left. I think DANGEROUS TIGER should point that out more often.

Kitchandro Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Only Sven took over what Paulo Sousa left behind, and, being bottom of the table was hardly 'near the play offs'. I said he took us near the play-offs. Which was good up until March, but by the end we were 8 points from the top 6, the same distance as when he took over.
Libertine Dream Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Sven getting us close to the play offs last year only served to foreshadow what would happen this year. We had quality loanees who we were never going to keep, which meant we had to build again, you can't g up if you keep re-building every six months, looking back it was a nailed on failure this year. Not blaming Sven because I imagine the owners pushed last year but we should have started building last January and carried it over into the summer with the foundation already set. May have seen better results this year.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 8 March 2012 Posted 8 March 2012 Still can't believe Sven curved one into that big tittied bitch Ulrika. I wish I could have watched, or even better joined in. Didn't he manage City once?
