Season Over?

Still only 7 points behind the play-off spots, game in hand over blackpool, and we still have to play 6 of the 10 teams above us. We all have this attitude of the players are showing no passion after every loss we have. We will always lose games, even look at Birmingham, never lost at home all season then lose to forest and only draw to derby, this is why we love the game.

The season is not over, fortunateley for us we are in the same position at the start of the night, yes brum have 2 games in hand but if we beat them we could be 4 points outside with 11 games left (33 points). There is plenty of time left.

In Pearson I trust, just like Chris Hughton for Birmingham, managers which do not know what failure is, a nice habit to have.

I've been wanting to talk about this all night but having been waiting for someone to start a thread.

Thank god you showed up!

still believe it is possible? I do, although i dont want us to go up as we are not ready.

Can we just stick all these positive threads in the optimistic bus?

What I want to read after a match like that is unforgiving slatings and fantasies of going into the dressing room and giving them all the hairdryer treatment. And then machine gunning them all to death.

(only a bit harsh)

Your first sentence reveals the problem.

"Only 7 points behind the play-off spots". In March, with games running out, having acquired a squad at large expense.

I'd hoped for slighty better than that.

And it is over.

foolish, tonight showed how close it is, got a win we would have been only 4 points away, imagine if we beat brum and the results go out way again, it will only be 4 points with 30 left to play for, how is that over??

This time I refuse to be drawn in by the 'it's still possible' brigade.

I always fall for it and think that we will actually go on a run and sneak 6th, but then as always my hopes get crushed with a disappointing defeat against a shitty side.

Well now I refuse to get my hopes up. I'm getting off the optimism bus until next season.

League Season over, even if we beat Reading on Saturday.

Forget the league, let's go for the FA Cup!!

We didn't get a win, at the team with the worst form in the league.

Other teams have got games in hand and also had sustained runs that has put them nearer the top six than we have.

I think we will stutter to a similar finish as last season, with the playoffs sneeking to almost within reach until a crap performance puts them just too far away again.

So more frustration this season I think. Probably best to just enjoy the remaining games for the football rather than any end product at the end of it. And...this has equalled the best FA Cup run I have ever seen too. Didn't that one end with a dodgy penalty away at Stamford Bridge?

Roll on next season...it is DEFINITELY our season next year!

ps - I'm usually optimistic!

7 points away with 36 left, how is that a 'slight possibility'? If we won our next three (a big if) we would probably only be 4 points away maximum, with still 30 left. I do not believe we will get the playoffs, but it is not over.

I admire anyone who truly believes we can make the play-offs.

I have since before xmas the job was to big then for the players we have.

All season we have let ourselves down loosing to teams at the bottom or below us.

NP has done nothing to change that

Situation is pritty much the same after the game as it was before! Game in hand on Blackpool.. Still got to play teams above us.. It's not over until it's over.

we are not ready for the premiership? What a strange comment.. Who cares if we are ready or not, lets just get up there!!! It can still happen, I believe!

I think we should go back to League one! It was much more fun there! Plus it suited everyone because we were pretty much winning every week.

That's the way to make everyone happy :) Tour of league 1 here we come. :scarf:

Guys... for the very last time, GROW A PAIR AND SUPPORT YOUR CLUB! Yeah it is tough at times. Yeah we're up and down like a ****ing elevator. Yeah we're 7 points off the play-offs. Yeah we have a habit of being let down. Yeah we blame a different person every week. Yeah we need to get a consistent run together for once. But this is what we are about. We're Leicester City and would you really have it any other way? We do it the hard way, we always have, we always will and that is why we love our club so much. To those of you so called "fans" out there who have jumped back on the "We're shit" bandwagon take a long hard look at yourselves. It is really not so glum... We could be Forest! It's gonna be a tough ride on the run in but never say die! Foxes NEVER quit. So stop complaining, proudly get behind your team and sing your ****ing heart out for the lads! Lets get behind Nige and the players and drive us towards the play-offs! If we don't make it then we don't make it but next season we will go again. Each and every one of us. ♥ WE'RE LEICESTER CITY - KEEP THE FAITH ♥.

Too many negative people on here. You're supporters right? Well support!

glad someone agrees with me! Instead of coming on here and moaning, slating and being generally negative 24/7, we should generate some passion, back the team and accept it when we've played badly. 7 wins in 11 is hardly a bad run and Ashton Gate is always a tough place to go for us. Forget about it and move on for Reading. 7 points is not a mountain.

Come join us on the optimistic bus lads. Were all friends over there and support our team by watching old tapes of us thrashing teams were going to play. It's all fun and games over there. :)
