Matt Posted 16 March 2012 Posted 16 March 2012 Sky Sports News - Breaking News - Owner Clive Smith says he is 90% certain that Kauto Star to be retired. Shame, Legend of Horse racing and will be missed, gutted he couldn't have had one last win and then be retired.
leicesterisme Posted 16 March 2012 Posted 16 March 2012 What a horse. As you say, shame he couldn't go out on a win.
Ric Flair Posted 16 March 2012 Posted 16 March 2012 Got a scraf today, i've probably made well over £500 on him over the years, even with a heavy loss today. What a hero.
speedwayson Posted 16 March 2012 Posted 16 March 2012 at lest hes bowed out at the top of his game and not flogged to death like some other horses well Kauto Star great horse
General Smuts Posted 16 March 2012 Posted 16 March 2012 Lost me £4.00 today. He'll be glue in the morning ...
City_4_Life Posted 16 March 2012 Posted 16 March 2012 Absolute brilliant horse. Shame to go out being pulled up, but has had a fantastic career and has been a real fans favorite.
Guest MattP Posted 17 March 2012 Posted 17 March 2012 We'll never see another one like him. Magnificent, the greatest since Arkle.
Kitchandro Posted 1 November 2012 Posted 1 November 2012 Officially retired: Record-breaking steeplechaser Kauto Star has been retired. The 12-year-old, trained by Paul Nicholls, made history by winning the King George VI Chase for a fifth time on Boxing Day last year. He is the only horse to have regained the Cheltenham Gold Cup having lost it but was pulled up when going for a third victory in March. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/horse-racing/20137124
Guest MattP Posted 1 November 2012 Posted 1 November 2012 Pure Legend. Wish I hadn't got his name tattoed on my arm when pissed, but a legend none the less.
