oxford blue Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 You'll all know GM made the headlines by scoring 4 goals for **** against Leeds away - which for a midfielder is pretty good! I'm reliably informed there are Premier League clubs interested in signing him. However, you may not have known he was rejected by LCFC. His first semi-pro club was Oxford City, when Gary Parker was playing for them. He introduced GM to LCFC, but was rejected after a trial. He also had 3 months at Oxford United, but was never offered a contract. He went to Slough, then Bromley (Conference South) before signing for **** in 2008. It wasn't until Cotterill became manager he has regularly started games. One that got away?
acooling08 Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Maybe, but if Oxford didn't think he was good enough then you can't blame us for letting him go!
leicesterisme Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 He's not proved anything yet, a few good games does not make him a superstar. Look at Mcgugan he was superb last year, thats gone right down the shitpan this season, not saying he isn't good btw because he is but he's not peformed this season.
Tielemans63 Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Player has good game = one that got away. Jesus It's like Ricardo Vaz Te all over again!
Daggers Posted 27 March 2012 Posted 27 March 2012 Player has good game = one that got away. Jesus After trying out for numerous clubs... Shit, how stupid are we because we simply love to give players time to find their feet and give us one good game.
General Smuts Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Bring back Louis Dodds. He truly got away, Most natural finisher at Port Vale.
