"6 Pointers"

With so many of the teams in contention playing each other still, there are plenty of points that teams up there ARE going to drop. I've exlcuded Saints and West Ham games as they aren't really "6 pointers".

Leeds

Reading V Leeds United

Blackpool V Leeds United

Cardiff V Leeds United

Leeds United V Leicester

Brighton

Brighton V Middlesbrough

Brighton V Reading

Brighton V Birmingham

Boro

Brighton V Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough V Cardiff

Hull V Middlesbrough

Birmingham

Birmingham V Reading

Brighton V Birmingham

Cardiff

Middlesbrough V Cardiff

Cardiff V Leeds United

Blackpool

Blackpool V Leeds United

Hull

Hull V Middlesbrough

Leicester

Plenty of draws for all them teams would be nice while we take the 3 points to keep creeping up on them all :)

Alot points to be dropped there . Think Leeds have the hardest task to reach the playoff's looking at them fixtures , it could be that when we play them they could be well out of it .

Apart from Reading who are a class above, we've done well in our 6 pointers, beating the likes of Hull & Bham & good away point at Bpool etc, but we don't have many more to play.

We just have to get a grip Vs bottom half teams & if we do then with plenty of points to be dropped in matches above, we have a chance

Trouble is we've only picked up

13 points from a possible 39 against teams in the bottom 8*.

Yeah I was going to say with our record we'd be better of playing the top 8 in the remaining games.

A quick look at Statto.com tells me it's worse - only 12 points vs the bottom 8. :nono:

We've only managed to beat Cov and then drawn 6 and lost 5. Need to turn that round on Saturday...

I still think we're in with a chance, it's going to be very difficult but I believe the next 2 games are winnable and if we do that, the gap will be cut. That leaves us with 5 games to go, probably the form team outside of the top 3 so who knows if we can get over the line.

I like the formation we are playing now, but i'm worried it has starved Beckford and Nugent with goal scoring chances. Our chances seem to be falling to Lloyd Dyer who is an appalling finisher most of the time, so we need to fine tune that.

This league is incredibly tight and I am sure up to 5th place could well be possible as we're only 6 points of Brighton.

Amazingly, if we had managed to sneak a win last night and held on for the win at Blackpool we would be sitting on 60 with everyone else. If we hadn't lost twice to the dire likes of Bristol we would be out right 4th. It's all "if's and but's" I know, but it does illustrate how tight the league has been all season. It also illustrates just how difficult it is.

I am still confident about reaching the play-off's. But should we not reach the play-offs, my main focus will be on "non big spenders" West Ham. I cannot wait to [hopefully] see them fail after [hopefully] stuffing up automatic promotion.

Much as I want it to happen, I will be absloutley amazed if we get in the play offs, gob smacked. Our form against struggling teams is woeful, and now we are at the stage where they are starting to fight for the lives. We've won back to back games once all season and to do this we are going to have to do that at least twice more, our record at Portman Road is abysmal. We need 5 wins 2 defeats or more realistically 4 wins 2 draws and 1 defeat to stand any chance and even that may not be enough. Think we need to wake up, we're chasing 7 clubs for 3 spots with 7 games left they all have a head start and one of them is going to pick up three points pretty much every week. If we take six points off Doncaster and Peteborough then maybe it might start to become a bit more feasable but we all know we're going to slip up in one of those games, we always do. For me it's been over since Bristol City.

Agree with all of that, as much as i want to be optimistic i just know what we are like and that we will drop points when we definately shouldnt

The Peterborough game will be a tough un.

They score goals for fun, especially at home.

But, of course, to have play off hopes we gotta be beating sides like Borough.

Don't think we ever do very well down at Peterborough, they score well at home & we're hardly prolific... Will be very tough

Like someone say above, the teams below us will start upping the ante making beating the these teams who we struggle against, even harder
