Guy Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 Kermogant went out on loan to a french side in the close season the month after his terrible penalty miss against Cardiff in the play offs, quite simply because he would have been slaughtered by the crowd here had he hung about. He then got snapped up by Charlton last close season, most probably due to Chris Powell being there as they obviously worked together here. It was the only way forward for him as he'd never be forgiven for his penalty miss, short of grabbing 30 goals this season or something perhaps!

sphericalfox Posted 16 April 2012 Posted 16 April 2012 Pointless thread I'm afraid. We'll all get to see how effective he is in the CCC next season. I think he's alright but nothing special. His abilities have been overshadowed but a peno. Howard will be gone over the summer.

No I know mate I was being a tad sarcastic because there were plenty who were spouting out the usual not good enough etc when we were linked with ched and now look, yes whose to say he would've scored in the league above but similar to a lot of the criticism last summer in regards to transfer targets, it was either a big name , for the majority, or no way. Le fondre, ched Evans, Jason Roberts ?? I've said it before hindsight is a wonderful thing, but whose to say a player can be a half decent goal scorer at other sides and then come here and fire us 20 odd goals. Anyway I'll give up the rant , id quite like Chris wood or futacs if it is decided by nige that we need to bring in that type of player I'm sure hell find another gem. Waiting now for the signing of a target man only for "those" posters to be whinging about the long ball

Lloyd Dyer looked like Ronaldo in league one, Matty Fryatt was more potent than Messi. Look, whats with all the howard bashing? Big steve has given a lot to this club, he has been a bench player all season and has never moaned about it.
