Who would of thought it?

Back in August who would of thought that with two games left in the season Leicester City would be sitting 8 points off the play offs after having such an inconsistent season, sacking Sven AND bringing back Nigel Pearson. It has been a weird season when you think about it, Forest scrapping to stay in this league, fall outs in our squad and WE actually beat Coventry at the Richoh. Even though this season has been very frustrating it has been one to remember.

One of the worst seasons I can remember.

All season it's been a divide between the fans, every single result has brought on arguments between the pro and anti Pearson people, we've continuously lost away at fvcking dreadful, dreadful sides, we're the laughing stock of the league.

We've got a lot, and I mean a huge proportion of our fans who are absolute idiots, but we've had a fair few continue to back us and get behind the team throughout.

I think Leeds charging £36 really is the mouldy cherry on the shit cake.

I think it is more to do with the Thais expectations and spending bonanza last summer we were becoming to egotistical ridden in the sense that "we were buying the league" chant . I do admit I fell for the bookies odds, and all that hype it was very naive of me to think we would get automatic promotion knowing Leicester City we never do it the easy way. Next season although we will be one of the favorites for promotion again, I hope we the players will do their talking on the pitch.

Its been quite easy to forget many of our mid table performances over recent years but this 1 would certainly stand out to me as 1 of the most memorable

A poor season but who would want to forget our FA cup run? Great day at Norwich and another at Chelsea.

Me ! it was pointless because we were never going to win it .

Of course we were never going to win it but it was great atmosphere and two cracking days.

I fell for the odds too I won't lie, Pearson in the past has signed players that have over-achieved and whilst I didn't see a great logic in a lot of his signings, they seemed to perform, bit of a learning curve for me that was so basically, I expected Sven to do the same thing with a lot of this seasons signings, I thought he'd have them doing something special.

Turns out really his ability as a manager is a huge myth.

I do believe Pearson will sort us out, the fact is, he was never going to be a miracle worker to turn this season around.

I can think of many many worse ones in recent years, namely:

03/04 - finished 18th - relegated from PL

04/05 - finished 15th - no money, no hope, no exciting signings

05/06 - finished 16th - no money, no hope, no exciting signings

06/07 - finished 19th - no money, no hope, no exciting signings

07/08 - finished 22nd - relegated to League 1 for the first time in our history, leaving a exclusive group of a few teams that had never been out of the top two divisions

Ok this season has been a disapointment, we've been inconsistent, bad away, players falling out and missed so many chances

But this season has seen some brilliant performances, a summer of brilliant signings where we blew a lot of teams out of the water (Danns, Nugent, Schmeichel), more exciting signings (Marshall, Drinkwater), a great record over our local rivals (4-0 vs Derby, Forest, Double over Cov), scored some brilliant goals (Gally x2 vs Palace, FK vs Cardiff, Nugent vs Norwich, Soton, Derby, Beckford Hat-trick, Marshall vs Chelsea, Hull, Ipswich

and the double over Soton.

This season, last season and the one before have ultimately been dissapointing, but have also had plenty to celebrate. To say that this is the worst one in a long time, is just false and defeatist
