Rekon he might go for Bruce. Done good job's at similar clubs like Birmingham, Wigan and Sunderland (alhough I would say Sunderland are a bigger club).

He's landed on his feet, he was apparently given a £750,000 severance package from Liverpool, West Brom obviously contacted him, talked to him and have apparently offered him a three year deal worth £1m.

He's a highly-rated coach though, Mourinho had him in his staff at Chelsea and he was popular at West Ham under Zola.

Still wrong appointment though, there's a difference between being a coach and a manager, I can see West Brom going down the next season!

Why is it the wrong appointment?

You've praised Hughton in the Norwich thread, and he was a coach for many years. He's managed to make the change, why can't Clarke?

Very highly rated as a coach. Will be interesting to see how he does as a number one, hope he succeeds.

It's always important to have a good number 2.
