5 goal play off win

Sky are sayin west ham are the only team to win the play off semi final by 5 goals. Did they not see us win 6-1 in 1992 in the play off semi final

1-1 & 5-0

So 6-1 definitely was that.

Yes you are right. Had it in my head it was 5-1 for some reason.

Maybe because we lost the league game there 5-1 in that season?

Yeah that's probably why. Still remember sticks scoring at the end!

I don't want to defend Sky, but I think they said that winning by 5 goals on aggregate hadn't been bettered in the Championship Playoff semi-finals, i.e. no-one's won by 6 or more. They might have said West Ham just broke a record, but I didn't hear it.

On SSN they said no one had won by MORE (than 5 goals) over a 2-legged semi. I don't know if you're referring to something different though.

If it was any other team and not Cardiff i would almost feel sorry for them. They have had so many playoff oppurtunities in the last few seasons and still can't get promotion.

Congrats to West Ham for the win and making it to the final , but got to admit i have a little soft spot for Blackpool and would like to see them make it.

Happy days, that Cambridge game at home.

The best laugh was those were the days of City fans taking loads of balloons to the game. My brother had rang me to say he had got some cheap job lot on some balloons and would have loads with him. we got to the game and he pulled out a bag of balloons that must have had over a hundred in it.

Problem was they were cambridge colours, he didn't realise they played in that mucky mustard yellow colour, prize cheap skate
