bluefox Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Brilliant news from a sporting angle, although the additional revenue would have been useful.
Ricey Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Foxes Online were the first site to post this news on Wednesday night I'm pleased it's not going ahead, the more time went on the more I realised how much our identity means. It's OUR stadium, it's not just a stadium that happens to be in Leicester.

City Fan Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 It just annoys me how everyone is glad. Most people on here would rather CL didn't receive any more dosh for his transfer kitty, just so their match day seat wouldn't be green. No one realises how much of a better financial situation we would be in. Everyone just doesn't want the stadium to change, even though we don't even own the stadium.
City Fan Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 .....and it would also benefit Tigers a lot and make them a bigger club. Don't you want local clubs such as Tigers to do well?

Guest Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 .....and it would also benefit Tigers a lot and make them a bigger club. Don't you want local clubs such as Tigers to do well? 134339[/snapback] The groundshare would be a huge benefit for the Tiggers. But in the long-term, City would be worse off. We will pay off the debt owing on the WS, and when we do, we will be a lot better off than sharing non-matchday profits 50:50. Peter Toms also told the Tiggers at their open meeting he could buy the WS outright, so developing Welford Road is also within his capabilities if he wanted to bankroll the club. As for wanting them to do well, when their fans reciprocate then I will take an interest. For every Tigger who wants us to do well, there are 10 more who look down their noses at City, and cheer every goal that goes against us. Just read the comments on the petition against.
Collymore Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 I honestly don't give a flying fook about how the tigers do. Never palyed rugby, never watched rugby on TV (not even England) Its nothing personal against the Tigers I just hate the rugby in general. Never seen such a bunch of inbread nob jockies.
LoneWolf Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 its a good thing because all pitch would be like portsmouths when we played um that time.... about 3 seasons ago i think it was....
Hullfox Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 I was not opposed to the share when it was announced but equally I am not unhappy at this news. We'll never know what the financial implications may have been either positively or negatively had this gone ahead. We are where we are and we have to move on now.
syston_fox Posted 8 July 2005 Posted 8 July 2005 Fantastic. Good day for Leicester City what with the Groundshare off, the Inter Milan game on, Matt Heath leaving and a new striker on his way!! Just a shame we couldnt have got Kenton too or it would have been complete!!
