Russia have looked like scoring every time they go forward, joy to watch.

More to do with the fact Czech Republic literally, no exaggeration, don't have a defence lol

Given the fact that they have one of the oldest squads in the tournament, Russia play some lovely, quick and direct one-touch football.

Arshavin putting two more extra shifts than everybody else, not even Rosicky comes close.

Dzagoev a real gem.

Kershakov wasting chances like in a casino.

And Pavlyuchenko has the touch of a Brazilian - given his height quite an accomplishment.

Great result, and some lovely football from Russia, while the Czechs didn't looks particularly impressive.

However, based on this game alone we still don't really know

a) How good Russia are or

b) How bad Czech Republic are

Let's see if Russia can repeat that level of performance against Poland before we declare them as potential winners.

Russia not much different to 4 years ago, technically good and exciting going forward, but bad at finishing and indisciplined. Against Spain or Germany they're going to struggle, but should now get through the group. Though the Czechs are a very poor side.

I couldn't call the group before and I still wouldn't put any money on it now, bar the money I already had on Russia to qualify. Any of the other three could still join them.
