More proof that Michael Gove couldn't careless about sport. Sod the fact its proven that exercise can actually help studies and forget the huge problems we have with unhealthy kids.

sickening.

I think you'll find they are 'reducing bureaucracy', they've also reduced 'bureaucracy' by removing the stipulation that all students do 2 hours of sport per week. Apparently some schools were doing 'Indian dance' during PE which is clearly a waste of valuable exercise time. If you aren't familiar with 'Indian dance' you may have noticed it's inclusion in the Olympic closing ceremony

Oh and they've also reduced bureaucracy by removing the need for Academies to hire qualified teachers.

Very kindly Michael Gove has today, on the eve of A level results, announced “Our young people are as capable of academic excellence as anyone. They need to be. Because the world is getting more competitive and they are up against billions of others in the race for jobs and university places. That is why we must make sure that our exam system, the training ground on which they prepare for the adult world, can match the world’s best." I do hope no one infers from that that Mr Gove feels exams are getting easier and that our students aren't as clever as the rest of the world because, if that were the case, it would make Mr Gove look like a bit of a ****.,

My old secondary school had 4 football pitches, a massive dry-play area the size of "Horse Guards", 5 tennis courts, a cricket pitch, 2 rugby pitches, a gym and a swimming pool. The school sold off some ground to developers (about 2 football pitches) and spent the money on a fantastic full size all-weather pitch (amongst other things).

....and its no good having a shit load of grass to run around on when the teachers and pupils couldn`t give a fvck or have a clue....
