Corky Posted 27 September 2012 Author Posted 27 September 2012 I think prior just cannot do it for england at international level. He has been given numerous chances and has done nothing. Kieswetter has been ok, not outstanding. I assume you mean T20 cricket, not all international cricket? He's only played 10 T20 internationals, and has averaged 21. Kieswetter has played 23 and averages 23.
ScouseFox Posted 27 September 2012 Posted 27 September 2012 Morgan trying his best to make a game out of this. Too little too late, most probably.
ScouseFox Posted 27 September 2012 Posted 27 September 2012 23 needed from the last. Be remarkable if they get there but to be anywhere near is pretty impressive after our start. Morgan is twatting it around, though and on strike.
Guest MattP Posted 27 September 2012 Posted 27 September 2012 Incredible effort just to make a game of it, even more annoyed with the start now.
purpleronnie Posted 27 September 2012 Posted 27 September 2012 We were poor all round, the only exception was morgan. Nowhere near good enough.
Guest MattP Posted 27 September 2012 Posted 27 September 2012 We were poor all round, the only exception was morgan. Nowhere near good enough. Very harsh on Hales, Finn and Broad. Lost the game in the first six overs of our innings.
Guest MattP Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Another great match. Was, that's a shocker from ADV there, some terrible bowling decisions then no slip to a new number 10 v his best bowler needing 2 off 3. Amatuer stuff. ....and then edges it for four of course.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Great result by us and one i didn't expect. Watson is absolutely killing it with bat and ball already player of the tournament for mine.

I didn't realise until they flashed it up Watson actually has a better strike rate than Gayle in T20 cricket. That's amazing, he doesn't get anywhere near the sort of praise the cricketing whore from Jamaica gets.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 A much maligned player indeed, comes from the days when not even Aussie supporters wanted him in the team. Credit to the lad been our best player in all forms of the game over the last couple of years in what has been one of the worst periods in Australian cricket

Guest MattP Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 That was, he was well within his rights to run him out without a warning being that far down as well.
purpleronnie Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Decent from England, could (should) have been much better. I hope those last few overs won't cost us.
Corky Posted 29 September 2012 Author Posted 29 September 2012 Wright and Morgan seeing us home at the moment, just need to keep them in.
Guest MattP Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Wrighty turning it on big time. Try and smash this off now for run rate.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Love Wrighty (bet ya don't hear an aussie say that about many English players)
Guest MattP Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Still worried about our fifth bowler though. Briggs doesnt look the answer yet. How good has Finn been this tournament? 3-16 1-26 1-24 2-33 Absolutely incredible for 4 over spells when you consider the 8-9 an over is pretty much par over here.

Watching sri lanka playing...I'm worried about all the england team.
