Not being funny mate, but that is a nasty injury, I did it myself and I have never played since. Hope he pulls through and plays again, won't be anywhere near the player he was before though. Not something to laugh at in all honesty.

Why's that? Doesn't mean he'd've got injured here...

Not good, but when we were after him I said 7 million for a crock was far too much, he had a bad one before, I wonder if its related to that. When I was a kid , a lad up the road who I didn't like got kicked in the knackers so hard one of his testicles disintergrated. we used to call him "one ball". I realise now that was wrong, so laughing at others misfortune is bad karma.

What a fvcking stupid thing to laugh at.

You're pleased a man has a potentially career-threatening injury because he didn't join us a year ago?

LOOK!!!! I'm sorry if i've offended anyone, I'm not laughing that he has a serious injury as I had a serious leg break when i was playing footy, it's that i believe in fate and I was hoping we went in for Maynard in the transfer window because West ham had to get rid of some players...... It's was more laughing in relief because we would have lost our No.1 striker IF he had come.........SORRY!!! I hope he's back playing again soon, but not against us because he destroyed us last season.........

Did this nickname make him get testy?

We didn't even have a bid accepted, so he didn't turn us down. Bristol City did.

Just to clear that up it was Maynard that knocked us back, and more than once.

I'm glad some of our fans can show some maturity about what is a very nasty injury to a professional sportsman which may have a serious impact on his career. It's not the sort of thing I would wish on anyone and hope the boy can recover fully and soon get back to doing what he does best, regardless of who he plays for. :fc:

Horrible injury. I done mine but I've stretched it, not torn. :/

yes he would have fúcked his knee here as well. I hope we let him train with us 2 years down the line when he needs to rebuild his fitness.

Dunno about that, some highly paid players with questionable characters out there.

Laughing at a potentially career threatening injury.

Stay classy mannyzlcfc

Ozwin, if you look at my add-on, ive tried to explain I was not laughing about the injury so get your head out your arse & stop judging, I think Maynard is a quality player & would have been good for this team

You clearly were laughing at his injury and are just trying to back track.

Keep digging.

Ok. maybe he did.

Still doesn't warrant someone laughing at him for getting a serious injury.

My conscience is clear, i'm not back tracking, perhaps i could have worded better, i didn't!!!

Whatever it's obvious what you meant in the first post, and upon realising everyone with half a brain didn't think like that you've backtracked. In you first post you said you're glad he didn't come, couple of posts ago you were all up for him coming here.

Just admit it, you laughed at someone for getting a career threatening injury, realised you're a knob and tried to make out you never did.
