lavrentis Posted 26 September 2012 Posted 26 September 2012 What you think? Anywhere good Narborough road ish?
FoxesAreBlue Posted 26 September 2012 Posted 26 September 2012 Ok this is probably the worst answer FT history but here goes.... Somewhere, and im not sure where, between Newbold Verdon and Nuneaton there is a staggered crossroads that crosses the A5, I believe it is right on the boarder between Leicestershire and Warwickshire. There is a steakhouse there (I forget its name) but it was amazing. That said I was pissed at the time which might have enhanced my opinion and certainly contributes to my lack of knowledge about the place. Good luck finding it and if anybody knows where I am on about please enlighten me!
Babylon Posted 26 September 2012 Posted 26 September 2012 What you think? Anywhere good Narborough road ish? Had a great steak at the place in the high cross, 1753 or whatever the hell it's called. Heard other people have mixed reviews about there but it was the best steak I've ever had. Perhaps I got lucky.

Not too sure, as I said, I had had a few at the time so my memory is not the best, I definately had steak though and thought it nice. That said, the BEST steak I've had in Leicester is always at San Carlos when ever I'm feeling flush (so rarely) their fillet and Bleu Cheese is amazing.

FantasticMrFuchs Posted 27 September 2012 Posted 27 September 2012 There is a nice country pub out near Thringstone, the only place I have found a decent mixed grill in years.
Kitchandro Posted 27 September 2012 Posted 27 September 2012 You just happened to take a picture of your steak ??? Do you do that with every meal, "just in case" ??????? You never know when it might come up in conversation. He's also got a map of middle-earth, a cat doing a pull up, and the guys from Primus.

Guest MattP Posted 27 September 2012 Posted 27 September 2012 You just happened to take a picture of your steak ??? Do you do that with every meal, "just in case" ??????? Somebody I know wanted me to send a picture of it as he was thinking of booking the place for his birthday. Still on the phone so I thought why not whack it up. You do looks like a right twat with your flash going off over your dinner in a restaurant though.
