That Phil Jagielka is now apparently known as Yagyelka, who knew?

Who the **** is it on MOTD that pronounces it like that? It's been getting on my wick for the last couple of years.

Is it the same bloke who used used to say Julian Yoakeem?

  • Airborne bacteria from a flushing toilet can reach a toothbrush placed within six feet. :o

  • The distance droplets can travel after a cough or sneeze: 3 – 12 feet.

  • The number of germs, per square inch, on a toilet seat: 49. The number of germs, per square inch, on an office telephone: 25,000.

  • One third of men don't wash their hands after using the toilet. (that you, Moosebreath? )

  • Unfortunately, germs can stick to food dropped on the floor in less than five seconds

I've always stuck to the 3 second rule where this is concerned. 4 seconds is just plain disgusting.

Funnily enough I often don't wash my hands after I've used a public toilet. I trust my own hygiene more than I trust the hygiene of the thousands of people who have had their hands all over the taps and on the door handles etc

Someone once did an experiment in a public toilet ,whereby they put a notice up saying " wash your hands" and then counted the amount of people who did ( I can't remember how)

They then put the same notice up but with a picture of pair of eyes looking out from the sign .

The amount of people washing their hands rose dramatically because of this minor alteration in the sign .

Mexico is officially called the United States of Mexico .

There are moves to rename it as simply Mexico

Pedant alert!

I thought it was officially the United Mexican States. :D

:D yes ok

I suppose if you want to be really really pedantic it is officially "Estados Unidos Mexicanos" so whichever translation is more correct of that then
