Parafox Posted 7 October 2012 Posted 7 October 2012 Airborne bacteria from a flushing toilet can reach a toothbrush placed within six feet. The distance droplets can travel after a cough or sneeze: 3 – 12 feet. The number of germs, per square inch, on a toilet seat: 49. The number of germs, per square inch, on an office telephone: 25,000. One third of men don't wash their hands after using the toilet. (that you, Moosebreath? ) Unfortunately, germs can stick to food dropped on the floor in less than five seconds

Reynard Bleu Posted 8 October 2012 Posted 8 October 2012 Yesterday, I became acutely aware that codeine and 8.2% Cornish Scrumpy are not ideal bedfellows.
stix Posted 8 October 2012 Posted 8 October 2012 Unfortunately, germs can stick to food dropped on the floor in less than five seconds I've always stuck to the 3 second rule where this is concerned. 4 seconds is just plain disgusting.
MooseBreath Posted 8 October 2012 Posted 8 October 2012 Funnily enough I often don't wash my hands after I've used a public toilet. I trust my own hygiene more than I trust the hygiene of the thousands of people who have had their hands all over the taps and on the door handles etc
Zingari Posted 8 October 2012 Posted 8 October 2012 Someone once did an experiment in a public toilet ,whereby they put a notice up saying " wash your hands" and then counted the amount of people who did ( I can't remember how) They then put the same notice up but with a picture of pair of eyes looking out from the sign . The amount of people washing their hands rose dramatically because of this minor alteration in the sign .
Zingari Posted 8 October 2012 Posted 8 October 2012 Don't post like a ****! if only it were that simple
Daggers Posted 8 October 2012 Posted 8 October 2012 if only it were that simple Certainly never works for me.
