Marshall's a great prospect and is sure to develop - I think his current dip in form is made to look worse since Knocky came out of nowhere and has put in some blinding performances.

But Ben has already proved he's a talented player and should return to his better form soon

Someone mentioned that Marshall's had domestic troubles and they can take a toll of anyone.

For all that, even when at his best for us, I was never completely convinced he was particularly special or the ideal person to be relying on under pressure.

One thing's for sure though. We won't see the best of him if he's got problems in other aspects of his life and I only say "if" because I don't know if "someone's" comment was accurate or not.

He's a young player, he's going to have some iffy form and you can't expect him to play every game. That's why we have a squad.

Young Ben epitomises the reason why we continue to need a full squad of players.

The lad has obvious talent.

But form is temporary and i think he's out of form. However I still don't think sticking him out on either wing plays anywhere near to his strengths. I see him primarily as an attacking midfielder with an eye for a shot. I'd play him just off the front two.. Which, incidentally is where I'd always said I'd play Gallagher.

His form will return no doubt. Most younger players go through peaks and troughs.

Looks a quality player to me just going through a bad spell, just like King does and Knocky most probably will.
