Jakemoore Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Firstly, apologies if this topic has already cropped up....I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed that BM hasn't been as effective or even as noticeable this season. I do think that's because Anthony Knockeart is stealing his headlines by playing in the CAM role that Marshall previously occupied. I know BM is a winger but I think he does a better job in the CAM role. However, you wouldn't replace AK with Marshall, would you?
Lambert09 Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 We are in second. Marshall is class, he will show it sooner or later and when he does we will be top. Close thread
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 What is it about good sex that makes me have to crap?
Haydos Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 He wasn't that effective last season. He scored a few belters so obviously everyone jumped to the conclusion that he was incredible. Good young player and an excellent prospect but imo he's been nothing more than 'decent' yet.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 He was walking away from the stadium on crutches after Bristol City so I don't think he was 100% that day.
foxesfan1989 Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 What is that they say? Form is temporary, class is permanent. Every player loses form but I'm not worried, Marshall is one of the best players at the club and will prove so this season...eventually.
marty78 Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 He was walking away from the stadium on crutches after Bristol City so I don't think he was 100% that day. Pearson said he got a knock soon after coming on If I remember correctly.
Jace Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 I thought he's been 1 of our best players this season personally, I think Pearson is mixing it up with him and Lloyd at the moment because we don't have much physical presence in our midfield with Marshall, Knocky and King and Dyer gives us that

Depends whether you think he's a quality player going through a bad spell now or an alright player who went through a good run of form for a few games last season. Still can't work out why he's seen as the messiah by so many. 2 or 3 good goals and the occasional good corner. And lots of average and bad performances.
Leicesterpool Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 The good thing is just the most horrible thing happens Knocky gets injured then we've got Ben waiting in the wings to replace him, so things look okay at the moment unless Ben gets injured himself!

Corky Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 He doesn't strike me as a natural winger. He'd probably be more suited to a Knockaert-type central role. He is out-of-form and will improve.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Has Ben Marshall got a weird hand like Jeremy Beadle? Someone told me this but I've never looked to be honest. My doctor also has one. Good for scooping up my plums when I go to have me lumps checked
Leicesterpool Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Anyhow I can see Ben getting the winner on saturday, right infront of the away fans, goes in the top corner, we win and celebrate and we invade the pitch- simples
Corky Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Anyhow I can see Ben getting the winner on saturday, right infront of the away fans, goes in the top corner, we win and celebrate and we invade the pitch- simples All wearing the yellow away kit (shorts and socks too)? BRING IT ON!!
kingfox Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Marshall was better playing in the free role towards the end of last season, the exact position Knockaert has been playing recently. Marshall was our best player when playing in that position, but if Knockaert has definitely taken that role, Marshall will be played out wide regardless and we probably won't get to see the best of him. Unless we play a diamond formation but I doubt that very much.
Leicesterpool Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 All wearing the yellow away kit (shorts and socks too)? BRING IT ON!! I haven't got the shorts or the socks, so everyone is wearing yellow then?
Soar Fox Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Lives round the corner from me. Fact. And where do you live?
Leicester_lad_92 Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Form is temporary, Class is permanent. Just because he's been off key for a few games, everyone has a bad spell, has pld a lot of games, not been called up to u'21's for no reason... keep backing him he's only young remember Ben Marshall whoaaaaa whoaaaa (8)
Leicesterpool Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 So if Knocky has a bad game, we should sell him then?!
ScouseFox Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 So if Knocky has a bad game, we should sell him then?! Nope. If he has 6 or 7 bad games in a row he should be dropped, just like Marshall. Nobody is undroppable.

Still can't work out why he's seen as the messiah by so many. 2 or 3 good goals and the occasional good corner. And lots of average and bad performances. Pretty much the crux of the matter imo, I'm worried that it's the latter. He's not playing well at the moment, but he does have very good technical ability. He seems to be wasted on the wing as he doesn't get involved anywhere near as much as he should, but Knockaert is far better in the middle. You don't need blistering pace to be a winger, good delivery can go a long way, but at the moment he doesn't see the ball enough and it's no surprise that he was dropped for Dyer. I hope he can reclaim the form of last season, as he does have huge potential, but he's out of the team for a reason and needs to prove to Nigel that he's got what it takes to do well in this side.
marty78 Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Nope. If he has 6 or 7 bad games in a row he should be dropped, just like Marshall. Nobody is undroppable. Wes (the Kevlar warrior) Morgan can't be dropped, unless you have a wrecking ball or poisoned darts.
MPH Posted 15 October 2012 Posted 15 October 2012 Lives round the corner from me. Fact. And where do you live? Did you REALLY just ask Narborough fox where he lives?
