sphericalfox Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Well, as I couldn't find a specific thread about it, I thought I'd come up with an inappropriate pun based one. Looks as though for the good or worse of the world I am bringing another child into existence. Well I knew this some months ago, as there some little signs, and a stick-thing to confirm your procreation, but as it goes you should wait the allocated safety zone period (or lack of?). I tipped my hat to Jon the other day, and had to wait for my turn. So Team Spherical grows in number. I secretly hope it is indeed a lad, so I can impart my delusions, idiosyncrasies, and foibles onto them, but mainly LCFC, that should be enough to cover those three! Anyone else bairnful or bairnless, with aspirations? Young'uns mind.
Reynard Bleu Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 I did my best for my two boys, took them regularly down to the Walkers, bought them the kit etc. Both played local junior football and both joined the Army Cadet Force to be like their dad. Eldest is at Uni on the way to the RAF, plays flanker for the Uni Rugby Team, the youngest is a bright prospect full back with a local RFC and has had trials for the county. He wants to be a Doctor. Both support the Tigers! What went wrong!
Zingari Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Do you get paid for siring like Frankel ? Congrats on the future spherical bundle of joy
sphericalfox Posted 26 November 2012 Author Posted 26 November 2012 When we got out of the car To go for the first scan Processed Beats was playing on the radio...I'll take it as a good sign!

Yes this is quite common, a bit of reverse pyshcology needed here, I was taken down the tigers every week when I was little, bored me to tears and I hated it so I followed football and I've never been to a live rugby game since. Although I did have Country trials at Full Back for Rugby and have always been distinctaly average at football (which some one said is me being kind to myself )
Guest Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Congtratulations Spherical. I made sure that I took my lad to at least 1 city match everytime we returned to the UK. I also took him to as many Tigers matches as I could giving City the priority. He vocally supports both teams and wears the tops over here with pride.
sphericalfox Posted 26 November 2012 Author Posted 26 November 2012 Nice to hear indoctrination is rife amongst us. I'll have to do it all subtly. My 3 year old daughter isn't in the slightest bit interested for example, in whether Beckford returns or not, though I've told her Col City's arguments at bedtime, and when she wakes up. She'll break at some stage, I'm sure of it. I think when we make it to the Premiership her head will turn, and she'll give the dollies short shrift.
Webbo Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 None of my 3 daughters have the slightest interest in football. They're all teenagers now I don't think they'll change. Well done btw.

Congrats,my son (9)supports Peterborough as his best mate does,I've told him they are shit, took him to Brum away and he loved it,he even asked me how we were doing, meaning Leicester last week.My daughter (12)tells her mates she supports Leicester, they take the piss, but a few of the lads support West Ham,Leeds so understand a bit more!Think I'm winning.
Guest MattP Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Congratulations, always a nice thing to hear.
ozleicester Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Congrats! Its easy, every good thing must be followed up by some City reference. Ice cream is called Lice cester cream new toys come packaged in a scarfe turning on the tv to watch horrific colurful weired creatures...you and he/she must thank King Power whenever you come home from a game - toy if we win - sweet if we lose when he/she recognises a city player/event etc = cash give her/him things whenever you listen to the game or moan in together. thats a start
