I can ‘better’ that

Medal on Friday. Couldn’t hit a thing for the first 4 holes. We teed off with about a 20 min gap in front of the next group. I played so badly they caught us up on 7th tee

Triple bogeyed first hole-

Par 3

Double bogeyed Par 4

Duffed my 3 wood about 2 foot before the ball on the 3rd, Par 4, walked off with a 9!!

5 off the tee on the 4th. Found my first, had to take an unplayable- still walked off with a 10 😂

Parred 5&6&8

Found my tee shot on 7, then lost my really well hit second shot down the fairway. Couldn’t find it, couldn’t go back as the group behind had caught up- Disqualified

Went to the shop on the way home and drank wine by the pint glass

*Cant upload the screenshot of the front 9

It’s a killer of a game isn’t it. I only went out for the 9 (the worst 9 of the 3 at my course).

If I’d done another, there was a guaranteed 50+ coming to make sure I was nowhere near 90, as always.

I was a bit worried on that 2nd playoff hole after Spaun sank his long one.

Yes they both certainly held their putts under pressure but fortunately for Rose he came through.

Scheffler is inevitable. Few Europeans crumbling under pressure the last month or so (other than Rose) - doesn't bode well for the Ryder Cup.

You say that but you look at their team and its going to be full of a weird combination of out of form stars (Morikawa, Schauffele), a random major winner (Spaun), some unknown quantities in terms of a Ryder Cup (English and Henley) who are no mugs but not exactly striking fear into you either, plus the absolute mess Keegan Bradley is causing himself, I think its a close call. If Keegan doesn't play himself, then is he picking rookies who are in better form (Griffin, McNealy, Novak, Young) or going with the out of form old guard (Spieth, Cantlay, Harman, Burns). Probably Thomas is the one who you'd say has played himself in, rather than out like most of the others have.

The form of Bobby Mac, Fleetwood, Rose give us hope, Rory is Rory so we have our own fire-power to fight back with. Likely that a few new faces fit in with us so I'd imagine picks would be the experienced players like Rahm, Aberg, Fitzy, Hovland, Straka and R Hojgaard. We always seem to knit far better than the Americans too, I think yet again it'll be close, its just so so so absurdly difficult to win an "away" Ryder Cup due to so many factors I think perhaps that alone just tips it to the US side.

As always, it'll be a fascinating watch!

Anyone going the British Masters this week at the Belfry?

Looked like pretty decent crowds there today.

How about Marco Penge on the 299yd par 4 10th with an iron off the tee to 6 feet. What a shot :o (6:52)

I'll be there Fri, Sat and Sun. My son is playing in the Golf Sixes on the PGA National and will get to meet Faldo after, amazing experience.

Has anyone seen Keegan Bradley's putt in the Tour Championship? Not sure I've ever seen it in a pro tournament!

That's mad lol

BTW, Tommy looking good (again)

Would be poetic justice if after all those near misses he ends up walking away with the big one.

Genuinely thought it was AI when I first saw it!

Absolutely, would love him to get it done at the Tour Championship!
