After this post i scrutinised each hole and I think for sure most shots were lost on putting. Here's a question, if youre putting from off the green do you count it as a putt?

If my Dads mate did that he'd have had some 5 putts in his career, he putts from some ridiculous places.

Definitely a wedge and you see him walking out with his putter and you think "no chance". Inevitably miles short.

But you've already had the answer I'd give to the question!

Scottie having an absolute meltdown on the 16th and having a right old pop at his caddie Ted Scott.

Never seen him chuck his toys out the pram like that before.

Just like @The Year Of The Foxhis purple patch has gone and he hates the game again

No. Only strokes taken from the green (regardless of club used) count as a putt.

Quality. Keep yourself out of trouble at any level (low, mid or high handicap) and you'll score better.

Hit as many GIR as possible.

Something my coach talks about and something I'd love to try is playing with no pins. Objective is just hit every GIR, law of averages says you'll hit one close and see what you score for 9 holes...

Maybe one day!

If you’re ever playing behind someone you know…. ask them to leave the flag out.

I read yesterday that on average this saves about 9 strokes per round, as you are forced to aim for the centre of the green.
