ealingfox Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Aw its ok mate no need to feel bad I sleep like a log at nights. Glad we agree on the whole Cardiff being a small club and sell-outs etc, thought you were going to get all 'Hull fan' and act as if you're massive.
Deucalion Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 And what's wrong with working at a crisp factory?
BozzaCcfc Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Glad we agree on the whole Cardiff being a small club and sell-outs etc, thought you were going to get all 'Hull fan' and act as if you're massive. Nah mate I came on here for a debate as football fans not to feed trolls. Never agreed with your posts just failed to acknowledge them.
Guest Bilo Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 And what's wrong with working at a crisp factory? Thick opposition fans can only associate Leicester with crisps. The thick, braver ones might sling a bit of racism in.
Deucalion Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Thick opposition fans can only associate Leicester with crisps. The thick, braver ones might sling a bit of racism in. Well, it kind of effects my self-esteem seeing all these negative posts about workers at crisp factories. What would the world be without crisps? I do a very important job. ... ... ... ... ... ... ps - I was being flippant, I don't actually work at a crisp factory. No offence to anyone who does btw.
larrylloyd Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 If I was being cynical. I could say we have scored EXACTLY the same amount of goals as Leicester, yet Leicester have had more games where they have score three/four goals. Surely this must be a mathematical fact then, that you have fired blanks more often than us this season? Meaning either your opposition were more exciting than you (and won) or you have been in more 0-0 bore draws? Gents, you cannot base your whole season (seriously now) on 30 minutes at your place where you had us under the cosh (and yes you did)... because not ONE of you can say, hand on heart that had your first decent effort on goal gone in, we wouldnt have been capable of lifting our game and winning anyway. You can't, because we'll never know. What we do know is that we went in at half-time winning 1-0 and you ran out of ideas with 35 minutes to go, and we SHOULD have scored a second (shame on you Gunnarsson!!)... Now? well Leicester have Chris Wood, he is superb and has made a massive difference over the last 6 games for you.... Well guess what, now WE got Frazier Campbell and he is also a class act at this level. But one final point, if we are a boring side just grinding out results - how come we've scored as many as 'Barca Leicester' ... perhaps YOUR not as good as YOU think. I'm happy to be a Cardiff fan on this thread, our fans are quoting facts and not sounding bitter. Sorry Leicestewr, but you lot are, somewhat!!
bakedalasker Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Wow Dire for Dyer, I see Your still illiterate, and birds shouldnt play too close to the sun Ha ha, wonder when someone would pick up on that. Any chance you could speak football?
ealingfox Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 You have been lucky the last 2 games ive seen you play... boro missing a pen and wolves hitting the post.. which had those two incidences not happened then you would be 14 points adrift. r. Pot Kettle. Go back to the Cardiff forum you idiot.
TaffontheMersey Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Wow Dire for Dyer, I see Your still illiterate, and birds shouldnt play too close to the sun MY GOD! When you lot cant come up with a credible response, you bring out the grammar police! Get a life and reply to the man. Patronising is almost as low sarcasm.
CardiffAlex Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 No, it implies that out of 20 wins your convincing performances have been in the minority. I think it's definitely fair to say that we've had more convincing performances than you this season, and were it not for some very unfortunate results/refereeing earlier in the season we'd be much closer to you points wise. Usually I'd look at the table, see the points gap, and come to the same conclusions that you have w/r to Cardiff meriting their position. Unfortunately my experiences of watching Cardiff play and the points I've just made say otherwise and that your season has been a bit of an anomaly. You've watched all these games then, to garner such a strong opinion of us? You had some unfortunate results at the start of the season? So did we, we did not win away from home for ages! How is our season an anomaly? We've won 20 games out of 29 including beating you at your home ground, we are 10 points clear from you and yet you're still better? Delusional.
BozzaCcfc Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Pot Kettle. Go back to the Cardiff forum you idiot. If you read the rest of my post I didnt deny that cardiff havent been luxky this season. I was just giving examples where you have. You really have taken a shine to me havent you cupcake?

We havent scored the goals away from home because we havent been able to put away our chances for much of the season. Ask Chris Powell at Charlton, Steve Kean wen he was at Blackburn, Solbakken when at Wolves just how many we should have got in those games. Ask Butland why it took 90 minutes for us to score at Brum, ask Bogdan how many quality saves he had to make for Bolton. Youre probably the same in the fact that had you put away your chances then youd be in a better position but its especially true of us. The amount of games we've doninated and not got the points we deserved far outweigh the games where we've ground out the result. Perhaps that was naivety early on in the season
larrylloyd Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Glad we agree on the whole Cardiff being a small club and sell-outs etc, thought you were going to get all 'Hull fan' and act as if you're massive. **** me feller, take that lemon from your mouth. Leicesters urban area is half the size of Cardiff. We have been in the doldrums forever and a day. We have a huge pulling area. Admittedly, Leicester have a more celubrious history than we do. But potentially Cardiff City will blow teams like Leicester out of the water. Hence we get more people through the gates right now. Your highest ever attendance was under 50,000. ours was over 60,000. This with you DEFINITELY having won more than us over the years. All this mugging off of my club will come back and bit you on the arse. It WONT bite me on the arse because I know what its like to be SHIT, GOING BUST etc etc etc. Thinking Cardiff City fans have delusions of grandeur is a big mistake... but facts are facts... we are potentially far bigger than Leicester City could hope to be. We might not get there? **** knows , we might be back in the old 4th division again in five years hahaha. But calling us a little tin pot Club? have a word with yourself
Guest Bilo Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 'Potential' fanbase is nothing. 'Potentially' Plymouth's fanbase is absolutely enormous, seeing as they have vast swathes of the South West to themselves. They've still never made it above the second tier though. If Cardiff were ever going to be a club with regular crowds of 30,000+ they'd have done it already. We've been there, in the lifetime of many posters on here too, and have seen our team play in Europe and win trophies at Wembley in more recent years. We aren't massive, no reasonable Leicester would say so without their tongue wedged firmly in their cheek, but our ACTUAL fanbase trumps your potential one.

Perhaps that was naivety early on in the season I'd say the fact that your strikers couldn't put those chances away at all those different places reflects more on your team than the opposition.. One keeper can have a stormer on his day, but with so many "we should have put x past them" suggests the problem lies closer to home than you suggest...
dannythefox Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 We should of bought him and sold waghorn. He will be a quality player at this level.

One keeper can have a stormer on his day, but with so many "we should have put x past them" suggests the problem lies closer to home than you suggest... I'd argue this is fair. We lacked a clinical edge for parts of the season. We played your team off the park for much of the game at the KP, and weren't short of chances either, but lacked the killer instinct to bury the game. You had that killer instinct, and as such grabbed a win many would describe as fortuitous. Now that we have that killer edge due to Nugent and Wood's partnership clicking instantly and to devastating effect, I daresay a number of those results would be somewhat different.

What are the stats for this "class act" you speak of? Look on the internet and I think you'll find that his goals tally is rather underwhelming... No doubt he could be a very good player for you and £600,000, or whatever it was, is a decent deal. There's got to be a reason Sunderland have let him go...

cjslcfc Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 What, just like West Brom had a reason to let Wood go? Ye I'd agree with that. Apart from arguably West Brom having Odemwingie, Long and Lukaku was certainly something to do with it. Whereas, Sunderland (before buying Graham) had Fletcher and Wickham and that's it really. We have seen Wood score in this league and it looks like he could be a class player for us. Campbell could well turn out to be your missing piece. But to state that he is a "class act" and then claim you are all purely using facts is a bit of a strange statement to make is it not? (I know you didn't say this but hopefully you get what I mean)
Feed The Yak!! Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 What, just like West Brom had a reason to let Wood go? Even you have to admit that calling a player a class act after scoring a tap-in is ridiculous.
Guest Bilo Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 What, just like West Brom had a reason to let Wood go? Three actually. Odemwingie, Lukaku and Long. There's no shame in not being able to get into that strike force at 21, they're a handy side up front.
cjslcfc Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 Even you have to admit that calling a player a class act after scoring a tap-in is ridiculous. This.
CardiffAlex Posted 3 February 2013 Posted 3 February 2013 I agree, he was a risky signing and has struggled with injuries - but there's no doubt that in his time with Hull in the Championship, he was scoring for fun. He my not make the step up to the premiership that well (as his Prem career has hardly been stellar) but his record at this level certainly says a lot.
