MikeyT Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/crime-courts/corries-kevin-webster-charged-with-19-child-sex-offences.1360910029 Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell, who plays garage boss Kevin Webster in the TV soap, has been charged with child sex offences. Le Vell, 48, whose real name is Michael Turner, is accused of 19 sex offences including raping a child, indecently assaulting a child and sexual activity with a child. Le Vell, a stalwart on the popular ITV series, will appear in court in two weeks' time, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said. He was first arrested in September 2011 and questioned over alleged child sex offences, but the matter was later dropped. But late last night GMP said the actor, from Hale, Cheshire, had been charged with sex offences against a youngster after a review of evidence by lawyers from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). A spokeswoman from GMP said: "A man has been charged with 19 child sex offences. "Michael Turner, of Byrom Street, Hale, has been charged with 19 offences including raping a child, indecently assaulting a child and sexual activity with a child. "He is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates (court) on Wednesday, February 27. "The charges, which were authorised by the CPS following a review of evidence, relate to offences against a child between 2001 and 2010." Alison Levitt, QC, principal legal adviser to the Director of Public Prosecutions, had reviewed a file of evidence in relation to allegations of sexual offences and looked again at a decision previously made not to prosecute. Ms Levitt said: "I have very carefully reviewed the evidence in this case and I have concluded that there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest to charge Michael Robert Turner with a number of sexual offences. "I have authorised Greater Manchester Police to charge Mr Turner with 19 offences, including rape of a child. "Mr Turner has now been charged with criminal offences and has a right to a fair trial. "As proceedings are now active, it would be inappropriate to say anything further at this stage." Le Vell, a father of two, was not charged with offences after his initial arrest in September 2011 and the investigation was dropped three months later in late December, when the authorities said there would be no further action taken against him as there was not enough evidence to charge him. At the time the actor said he was "delighted" to have been "completely exonerated", thanked police for their "thorough" investigation and Coronation Street staff and the public for their support. Le Vell vowed to put the allegations behind him and returned to the show after a short break and is now currently involved in some of the soap's main storylines. He is one of TV's most famous faces after playing car mechanic Kevin Webster for the past 30 years in the TV show. Le Vell, originally from Manchester, began his acting career in the Oldham Theatre Workshop after taking an interest in amateur dramatics while at school. He first joined the soap in 1983 and quickly endeared himself to fans who have followed the trials and tribulations of Kevin, from Brian Tilsley's apprentice mechanic through to his stormy marriage to Sally, played by Sally Dynevor, and fathering two teenage girls as well as a love child from his affair with Molly Dobbs. The actor split from his wife Janette Beverley last year. (I don't actually watch Coronation Street so not a clue who he is)

Alexikokopops Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Wasn't he up for this before? Something of this nature has definitely popped up before with Le Vell
Guest MattP Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Something of this nature has definitely popped up before with Le Vell Anyone with the surname 'Le Vell' should probably be locked up anyway just in case.

flowwolf Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Wasn't he up for this before? Yes wasn't he caught doing fellatio on uncle Albert in his coffin ?
Zingari Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 I wouldn't be surprised if a big spanner falls on his head in the garage in Corrie St. Either that or he runs off with Roy Cropper's mam .
Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 He changed his name from Turner to Le Vell? What a woofter
kingfox Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Brooke Vincent and Helen Flanagan were growing up on Corrie, while there on screen dad was probably abusing children there own age. James. Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 I'd quite like to set up an Operation Yewtree sweepstake. Seems as if any man over the age of 40 is now a paedophile so curious to see who people think is next. I have a hot tip myself that has some substance. That said I realise we may be crossing into slightly murky legal territory. Can a Foxestalk moderator advise if this thread is allowed? I'm happy to apply liberal use of the word "allegedley" to all posts.

I've got Bobby Charlton, I know a guy who knows a guy who knew a guy that allegedly knew some things.

Guest BlueBrett Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 Gutting. He's about the only one I can think of where I'd actually be more shocked to find out he's NOT a paedo
Corky Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 I wouldn't be surprised if a big spanner falls on his head in the garage in Corrie St. Either that or he runs off with Roy Cropper's mam . Or indeed Roy Cropper's man Harold.

Surely they should just write him being a paedophile into the show like they often do with pregnancies. If he's got to go they should axe him in the most embarrassing way possible. Plus it would be a nice convenient way of mentally scarring one of Corrie's young girls (or boys, not sexist) which will come in handy down the line when they need someone to do something crazy to spice things up a bit. I can't think when the last paedophile storyline was but they always get a lot of attention. Viewers love a paedo.
Guest Bilo Posted 15 February 2013 Posted 15 February 2013 I can write this ending for Kevin Webster. Don't log onto this unless you have a liberal boss. It's really NSFW. After being found plums deep in Gail Platt, he is brutally beaten by Sally with one of Sophie's rubber dildos. Hurt, bruised and smelling of his daughter's minge, Webster is vengeful. Vengeful enough to shove his entire tool kit up Sally's gash, spanner by spanner. However, there's an unexpected twist as Sally loves it. I mean really loves it. In Coronation Street's first ever 3D episode, she squirts at the camera and breaks what film students know as 'the fourth wall.' Kevin is now sporting what can only be described as a diamond cutter of an erection, and follows his spanners up Sally's glistening spam wallet. After an hour of particularly heavy and some would say unnecessarily rough sexual intercourse, he ejaculates with such ferocity that Sally dare not sneeze for a week. At this point, Rosie returns with her tits bouncing around like a cocker spaniel on acid. She lets herself in and is greeted by the sight of her parents sweating and rutting heavily, her mother dripping with spunk and fishy spanners on the sofa. Shocked and horrified, she lets out a yelp. The Websters turn around mid-rut. Sally now knows she has to explain why she looks like a cross between a plasterer's radio and Patches O'Houlihan's travel bag, without the rubber balls. Kevin has a large dildo shaped bruise on his head and an Allen key lodged down his Jap's Eye. This is going to take some explaining. Rosie runs out of the house in horror; her naked and sweaty parents following, sounding like a pair of badly assembled Cybermen as they go. At this point, Sally is hit by Ken Barlow's car, who is being fellated deeply by Rita and therefore not paying full attention to the extraordinary scene. Sally is relatively unhurt, but an unusually powerful fanny fart launches Kevin's favourite and particularly oily spanner into the centre of his head, killing him outright. The Street leave their pubs and bedrooms to observe Kevin sprawled out lifelessly on the cobbles. Sally sobs, and the Street returns to its near perpetual state of shock.
