Guest MattP Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 Wouldn't if I were you judging by this. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186334-d1381739-Reviews-The_Kube-Leicester_Leicestershire_England.html
The People's Hero Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 Oh, I wouldn't eat there, I just wondered what it was really like. I can't really say exactly why.
Carl the Llama Posted 19 February 2013 Author Posted 19 February 2013 You should go to 1573 for a stunning steak then walk across to the King Richard III for a few beers. Oh shit that reminds me - I forgot to mention that one of my sisters is a vegetarian. Does that change anyone's suggestions at all?
Webbo Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 Oh shit that reminds me - I forgot to mention that one of my sisters is a vegetarian. Does that change anyone's suggestions at all? Yeah, get another sister.
Soar Fox Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 Nice one, the guy is a top fella. Even though he's s Villa fan . Travels with England a lot now.
Carl the Llama Posted 19 February 2013 Author Posted 19 February 2013 Yeah, get another sister. We're twins so I'm just glad she got the short-straw genes and not me.
Ross-Kemp Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 Even though he's s Villa fan . Travels with England a lot now. Yeah he hasn't bothered with Villa for a few years now, does just about every England away though.
foxfanazer Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 Even though he's s Villa fan . Travels with England a lot now. Did nothing but moan about MON when I worked for him

Soar Fox Posted 19 February 2013 Posted 19 February 2013 Did nothing but moan about MON when I worked for him Sounds about right him and Leighton hated the bloke. Did he tell you about the time he walked out of the Q&A night with him after CSKA Moscow away?
foxfanazer Posted 20 February 2013 Posted 20 February 2013 Sounds about right him and Leighton hated the bloke. Did he tell you about the time he walked out of the Q&A night with him after CSKA Moscow away? Yeah apparently MON said to the fans that he had nothing to apologise for and the free meal is from Randy Lerner and If it was up to him they wouldn't get anything Needless to say he wasn't happy
Carl the Llama Posted 27 February 2013 Author Posted 27 February 2013 Bump. What about an indian? We're thinking of getting a round in at the pub then getting a curry - any recommendations? Depressingly I'll be in the City this Saturday for the first time in ages, but I'll be helping clean out my Alzheimer stricken Grandad's frankly unsanitary house instead of spending money I don't have going to the match. A good place to nosh after would be immensely obliged.
Langston Posted 28 February 2013 Posted 28 February 2013 The Tiffin on London Road is a decent Indian, tend to go there if I fancy a curry when I'm back in Leicester.
Ross-Kemp Posted 28 February 2013 Posted 28 February 2013 Yeah apparently MON said to the fans that he had nothing to apologise for and the free meal is from Randy Lerner and If it was up to him they wouldn't get anything Needless to say he wasn't happy That was the straw that broke th camels back with Villa fans. In Moscow, decent chance of qualifying and he basically played the youth team and then pretty much told the fans that travelled to like it or lump it.
Carl the Llama Posted 5 March 2013 Author Posted 5 March 2013 Thanks for the suggestions guys, we left it too late to book into Mem Saab, so we went to the Tiffin instead. Had a wonderful lamb "tawa" curry - they don't skimp on the spice! For anyone else who visits there, I can't recommend their fish fillets enough either. I tried my sister's Sea Bass, it was easily in the top 5 fish dishes I've tried. Great call Langston.
