Coit tower is worth a visit, we also did a day trip to Yosemite National Park which is well worth a trip if you like scenery.

Pammukale is well worth seeing but if you walk through the pools you have to be bare foot and the pools are very stony, it doesn't half hurt if you're not careful. Ephesus is also very interesting.

I went to Ukraine t'other week and popped along to Chernobyl and Pripyat. Crazy place. Awesome though. I also ended up in a war museum in Kiev where there were some gloves from a concentration camp made of human skin. Grim.

I did all of that in June as well and loved it. Kiev is a fantastic place and dirt cheap

I love how you can walk down the main street and the Independence Square and it's beautiful, and then turn a corner and find yourself facing some magnificently Soviet buildings.

Afghanistan is truly a beautiful country, apart from Kabul, and apart from the obvious war damage and the odd Miltiray base the size of Manchester, it is a real wilderness of moutians, rivers and vast tracts of emptiness. The 'green' zones that follow the route of the river are fertile and add a spalsh vivid colour in an arid brown world.

Safe to travel there soon, the ANA and ANP are securing the country as NATO pulls out, keeping the naughty Talib boys in their place. I can see it being another Benidom in 5 years.

The food stalls in Beijing is a sight to see on a serious note I would highly recommend seeing the Terracotta army if you ever get the chance amazing to see.

Try the Olympic park sight of the 1992 Olympics, the museum and stadium were free when we went ( if I remember correctly). We thought it was brilliant! If you go mid afternoon time, take a short walk down to the fountains which are a must see. The fountains are choreographed to the music and laser light show. But try and get seats higher up the hill as its usually packed.

I know this is still touristy but never as popular as the " bigger" attractions Barcelona as too offer.

Edit: Ok actually still very touristy brownfox, if your other replies are anything to go by. impulse got the better of me ;-)

I have done the fountains but not the Olympic park, Will go see it cheers for that.

I've been to see those dancing fountains, quite decent actually, I accidentally put my hand up some birds skirt, genuine accident as well - she was alright about it though. Good girl.

Ukraine is a really interesting place, and I visited Balaklava, where the 600 rode through the valley of death. It's a really tranquil vineyard these days, you could hardly imagine the chaos and horror.

I just got back from Albania which is a really interesting and stunningly beautiful country. A lot of the Brutalist blocks in Tirana have been painted in various colours which looks great.

You should approach some of the locals and try to convert them to vegetarianism.
