Oh fraudulent slip! Well that's problem NP problem he doesn't know who he is, that's y they fall out! Knee injury goes bowling, now groin, probably be riding a horse this weekend! Feel for the bloke as since his return not the same Square heads fault! Inept clown that he is

Dear me, the club really would go nowhere if it were being run by people with your attitude. We've been taken to 5th spot by an inept clown? I hardly think so.

We're dropping out of playoffs if we keep this up due to an inept clown!! Always support my club seen more bad than good! In Pearson we have nothing a proven nothing! He can not handle people, yes we played football yes he signed some good but also sticks with absolute sh*te and had bought bad! A pub player for £1m when he says he reduces a wage bill who pays someone £10k a week when they were earning £500 a week playing on a muddy field scoring against painters and decorators! He has no idea Hoof Pearson! Look at all the last 9 games when we had to do something all teams had a game plan we have square head and look what happened

I really doubt we're going to drop out of the POs. We've had a major blip that has been frustrating for everyone but what I saw at Cardiff gave me real belief that we will turn it around. Also, you seem to be assessing him on this 9 game blip alone rather than the rest of the season - you can't forget that despite this blip we're still in an excellent position and this has only happened because we had been so good before it.

I understand why you think some of his signings have failed us but that's the case with every manager. On the whole you can't really conclude that Pearson's done a poor job in the transfer market, he's brought in too many good players for someone to think that.

Harsh but true so very true!

Yeah they say 2or 3 I think 5 or 6 we have no depth no bench! One thing Sven was right on you need 2 players per position to give a fight for a right to play and to have a plan B no killer subs no replacement midfield no replacement right back or left back. Schlupp is good but its not his position oh and to quote Pearson on this when he bought dyer in at left back!

Schlupps a striker and can play left back and dyer a winger plays left back so what's the issue mr stringer" how about St ledger or Whitbread? " no they are centre backs!!" WTF. Makes no sense a winger a striker can be a full back but a centre half to play in another defensive position oh heaven forbid

Perhaps we haven't got 2 players for every position or the killer subs you suggest because the money pot was emptied by Sven?

Spot on what you say about Pearson in my opinion.

Although I think Adkins and Mcdermott did better jobs than you give them credit for.

It doesn't work like that. I don't know where you've got this idea that anyone's said all strikers and wingers can play fullback, but centre halves can only play at centre half. It's not that any striker or winger can play fullback, but centre halves can't, it's just that some players are more versatile than others.

NP never said St. Ledger couldn't play fullback. He's picked him at right back on several occassions.

As for Whitbread, I don't know. Maybe he's useless anywhere other than his favoured position.

Some players can play more than one position, some can't, and it has nothing to do with what their best position happens to be.

Jock, did you mean Freudian slip? Fraudulent slip did make me chuckle.

St Legend played alot at RB previously (can't remember where, just woken up!). Personally I like him there ..... like a Gary Neville type of defender first RB - traditional but effective.

His exact comment was "no they are centre half" this was to the question why can't another defender play in another defensive position!

Dyer versatile??? Those words don't go together

Yes I did but hang on NP has got his job through deception he said he was a manager deceived us all

Pearson may be arrogant but at least he seems to have a bit of passion, McDermott sounds like the body snatchers have got him.

He said that about Whitbread, not St. Ledger or anyone else. "He's a centre half", admittedly, could be taken as meaning, "he's a centre-half, and therefore, he can't play anywhere else", but I'm sure it was such a short answer because NP was talking to Stringer, and just after a disappointing result. I think it was short for, "He's a centre-half only." I think that because NP obviously does believe St. Ledger can play centre-half or right back.

I never said Dyer was versatile. He played at left back when Konch was injured during a match when there were no other options available. Schlupp wasn't with us and De Laet was injured. There's a good chance Dyer was the most experienced at left back out of all the players available to NP in that match day squad. I don't know what you were expecting, really. What would you have done?

As someone else has already pointed out, a huge factor in us not being able to have a number of options for each position is the millions spunked up the wall during Sven's reign. We've no option but to keep a small squad, and because of this, versatile players such as Schlupp, De Laet and St. Ledger are invaluable to us.

Sven made some good signings, you're right. I think Nugent, Konchesky, Schmeichel, Fernandes, Naughton and Yakubu were good signings, but you'd expect a few to be good for the amount we paid. Of the three we still have, all have played at least as well under NP as they did under Sven. We couldn't keep the others, due to our situation or their cost.

Vassell, Danns and Bamba were ok signings, but I certainly wouldn't call Johnson, Paintsil, Ball, Beckford, Van Aarnholt, Mills, Peltier, Ricardo, Bruma or Bednar good signings. Considering cost versus quality, most of these were downright disastrous.

How many of Sven's signings played well for Sven, but not for NP?

Vardy has disappointed, so let's just forget the signings of Morgan, Knockaert, Wood, Drinkwater, De Laet and Marshall, shall we?

Great post, agree with it all.

In terms of signings, there is not one manager ever that will get every transfer right. For every Ronaldo, you have Djemba-Djemba etc. But overall Pearson's signings have been much better than Sven's, in terms of quality player and value for money.

If we go up he will get fired if we stay down he will get fired do save all the hassle sack him now! No manager normally spurs a team on a little run like that and we could still finish in top 6 rather than going to gump land on the 4th and having to win for a play off position and we all know our record there !!!!

If they get the sack either way to be replaced by a big name, ask yourself what type of manager is likely to take the job? Someone unproven is the answer.

Pearson has steadied the ship, got rid of most of the dead wood and made us a side challenging in the right area of the table. A great first season which built upon will lead to promotion, if it doesn't already this season. Yer he has his weaknesses but he's only human, every manager does, but sometimes it's better the devil you know when it comes to a situation such as this one.

Some people just want everything now, and unfortunately life in general, just does not work that way!
