Really amazes me how people say they want to get rid of pearson and would replace him with adkins, mcdermott and even Roy F*****g Keane.

Adkins - Extremely average record at scunthorpe and some may point out the small size of the club, but he was on a similar budget to blackpool while he was at scunny, but holloway managed to get the seasiders promoted and we all know how poor he was here.

Mcdermott - So, we are complaining about the fact NP is a manager who is too focused on the long-term, so mcdermott would be even more of a step back. He took 2 and a half seasons to get reading promoted a club which were in a better situation when he took over than we were last season, NP has had less than half of that here so far.

Roy keane - There was a b******t story on here the about him 'signing for definite' after we sacked sven. He is an extremely poor manager, taking a side as big as sunderland back to the prem was not really as challenging as it would be here. And he is the main reason ipswich are so poor now.

Just look at Mcdermott and Adkins purchase policy in the premier league, NP has made better signings whilst still in the championship.

He may pull the odd poor player, but so does every manager, just look at fergie with bebe and mourinho with modric who has been a flop so far.

NP has had a good season, reduced the players on the books, reduced the wages, spent less on transfer fees, and has a squad average age of the lowest i can ever remember.

We have great prospects in wood, de laet, schlupp, drinky, marshall, knocky, kasper, moore....and even more (get it!)

NP has turned this club around in 12 months, from a stale side full of arrogant over paid mercenaries, to the beginning of a squad built upon youth, hard work, and even flair.

We are 2-3 players away from potentially walking this league next season, and probably only 5-8 players from being an established premier league side.

The job he has done in the past 12 months has been better than everyone expected.

How many of you at the end of last season thought we would get top 2 this year??

I can remember most saying that the play-offs was a push!

The irony is....a lot of fans are calling for his head because of us dropping out of the the automatic spots, but had it not been for NP we wouldn't have been changing for them at all.

As well as the young players we have which are learning, i believe NP is trying to also. He is still extremely new to management and his recent experimentation of the 4-3-3 suggests he is looking for a 'plan B'.

That is another point i don't understand. There is no such thing as a 'plan B'. It is an adaptation during a match, not something which is 'pre-planned'. Managers will always try and implement plan A, and if it isn't working then they will change to a 'Plan B', which will vary match to match and minute to minute depending of the situation. A substitute for example can be considered 'Plan B', and guess what...NP plays subs !

We recognize how vital players like wood, drinky, knocky, morgan, keane and de laet are to the side, yet we criticize the man who brought them here.

The abuse NP gets on here is unreal. I rather wished that we had in fact been mid-table all season rather than be in the hunt for the autos for most of it. There would be less demand for results put on NP.

Remember this...The only reasons our expectations have gone up this season after the disastrous last, is because of the work by NP.

The increased level of performances, consistency and desire have all come as a result of his and his teams hard work.

The fact there is job is on the line, is quite frankly, in my opinion, ridiculous!

The owners didn't get it right with sousa, or sven, and since they have come to the club their efforts have actually pushed the club backwards instead of forwards, until they hired a man with a lot of sense in NP to sort it out!

to be honest i agreed with what i managed to read but gave up reading about halfway down. no one wants to read an essay!

You should tell Thrac/Marbella/Col that ;)

Spot on mate ... What people fail to acknowledge is that the championship is extremely competitive and any team can be stymied - that's what is happening to us at the minute. We could use more creativity on the bench. Pearson is building for the long term and the results say we could use another season to build a more consistent team. That task should be left to Pearson.

He's an egotistical arse! Says no player is bigger than the club, but as we went back to get him was our biggest mistake ever! Tactically inept! Should call him the 60 min sub man! Buys woods falls out loans Kane plays him on the wing, plays Nugent on the wing. Doesn't bolster the midfield due to waiting for Wellens to be fit! Changes a winning side puts us in free fall! Plays us deep when teams flood midfield! No plan A let alone Plan B! Oh and buys a headless chicken pub player! Mmmm TAXI........

when your team is on 1 in 8 winning run , why are you amazed ? pearson out is not my opinion and stupid talk so close to the end of the season , but this is bound to happen , nothing should amaze you when in such poor form ? you obviously are easily amazed ! weve landed on mars you know!

THIS

There's not many who ACTUALLY say they definitely want him gone now but with the run we're on, its inevitable that people talk about it.

Oh fraudulent slip! Well that's problem NP problem he doesn't know who he is, that's y they fall out! Knee injury goes bowling, now groin, probably be riding a horse this weekend! Feel for the bloke as since his return not the same Square heads fault! Inept clown that he is

If we go up he will get fired if we stay down he will get fired do save all the hassle sack him now! No manager normally spurs a team on a little run like that and we could still finish in top 6 rather than going to gump land on the 4th and having to win for a play off position and we all know our record there !!!!

I don`t think you will find too many City fans that want Roy Keane here, to be fair.

As for Adkins and McDermott, well they have both done something that Pearson has failed to do, and that is to get promotion to the Premier League, so that is a bigger achievement than Pearson has achieved so far in his career, despite him having a much better playing budget at his disposal than most other managers at our level.

Today could well be Pearsons day of destiny, because lose today, and with a 2 week break until the next game, the owners may well decide to fire the bullet, and roll the dice of chance, believing that they have more chance with a new manager, than with Pearson.

If we win, then they will probably give him until the end of this season, and see where it takes us.

As for us only being 2 or 3 players away from walking this league next season, you may be right, you may not be, but if you really believe that Pearson will be here next season, to bring in those players, if we are not promoted, i have a feeling you are going to be very disappointed!

You be careful with those fraudulent slips.

People aren't angry because we're 5th, they're angry because we've dropped from 2nd to 5th. It's a ridiculously short-termist attitude held by everyone who want Pearson out.

The idea that we simply must maintain impeccably high standards and never drop below them is absurd.

Yeah they say 2or 3 I think 5 or 6 we have no depth no bench! One thing Sven was right on you need 2 players per position to give a fight for a right to play and to have a plan B no killer subs no replacement midfield no replacement right back or left back. Schlupp is good but its not his position oh and to quote Pearson on this when he bought dyer in at left back!

Schlupps a striker and can play left back and dyer a winger plays left back so what's the issue mr stringer" how about St ledger or Whitbread? " no they are centre backs!!" WTF. Makes no sense a winger a striker can be a full back but a centre half to play in another defensive position oh heaven forbid
