No team wants promotion?!

Afternoon ladies & gents, Palace fan in pieces...

What's going on this season? I can't for the life of me remember one like this with every team in & around the playoffs doing their best to **** it up.

Hopefully come April 20th when you visit our hole of a stadium both our forms will have improved and we'll have a bloody good & important game on our hands.

Good luck for Saturday chaps & the rest of the season.

The way Holloway's tinkered with our first eleven, our formation & his maddening habit of picking random players names out of a hat to decide on substitutions is making a lot of us think that we'll be sliding down the table so your playoff place is as possible as ours!

As I said, best of luck, just a bit of a shame that Leicester v Forest & Palace v Brighton in the playoff semis is as unlikely as Cardiff losing their nerve again!

As Cardiff have pretty much won the league I hope Watford get second. Then either Palace or Brighton win the play offs.(If we don't make them) Just keep Dull and Florest down

Seriously, people dont think we'll make play-offs?

We'll try to do our best, a Palace v Brighton playoff final is what both our sets of fans want but I'm not sure that my heart will cope with 90 minutes of knockout football but the atmosphere will be electric!

Still, 6 games to go & this league is ludicrously tight & as unpredictive as a scud missile so I expect plenty of twists, turns, heartache & tears before this season is put to bed.

I can see us against palace in the play-off final.

With us obviously going on to win 4-0 :D

Good on you! I've had a bit of a bimble around a few of your threads & the similarities between your forum & the Palace forum I post on is insane. Negativity is rife & it seems meltdown is imminent!

No team wants promotion because no team is decent enough to make a go of it next season.

They'll still be £90 million better off though.

Other teams have negative fans :thumbup:

Investment is the key, maintaining the core of the team bringing in good a few good additions that don't break the bank & a promoted team will stand a chance in my opinion. Doing a QPR & having a massive wage bill and mercenary players is not an option.

We could be thirty points clear at the top and an element of our fans would still moan that it took more than a minute to get through to the box office. Such is the life of a football fan!!

If you look at southampton, they were starting to lose a few games before the end of last season and their fans probably said the same but if you look at them now, they're beating the likes of man city and chelsea and playing good football.

Oh I see Hollowheads witty banter and press savvy don't make him a great manager then ? Agree with you raba everyone bar the perennial bottlers are at it this season!

Cracking jokes to his media chums after another defeat is not endearing him with a lot of the Palace faithful. My wife's from Plymouth so I knew how much of a clown he is long before he walked into Selhurst with his bumper book of cheesy one liners tucked under his arm.

Dougie Freedman had no charisma with the media & a negative style of play but it worked. Plenty of our fans would happily take him back but it's hard to forgive the way he left us. It felt like your girlfriend said she loves you but two days later goes off with a more attractive richer bloke.

:D Can you introduce Mrs BTS to them? In all seriousness though, there will always be something to moan about as we're football fans :P

That and as a player if your team gets promoted you are likely to get replaced during the summer.

This is a very poor league.

Any promoted side would need a serious overhaul of either style or squad, and in most cases both, to survive next season.

The year we got relegated to League 1 we lost 1-nil away to Watford around March time. They had 10 men for most of the game but we were utter shite.

After the game he told the local radio that the fans should 'chill out and have a sandwich'

Went down well!

Richer yes but more attractive no . I 've always had a soft spot for palace up untill hollowhead took over ! Can not stand him .

I wonder if he still refuses to train the defensive side of the game like was revealed by a player after he left blackpool?

There is no clear answer to this unfortunately. Depending on what camp you're in he either went for the money or he was disillusioned that a championship club was going to sell their prized asset.

I suppose tripling his wages and having a Premiership squad outweighs daily hell of living in Bolton.
