JonnyBoy Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 the summer is coming and i was wondering if anybody interested in health and fitness has gone on a cut before? iv'e bulked for about 6 months without putting on to much body fat, probably about 15 % before my cut and im hoping to get it down to about 8 percent for about 7 weeks time. This is my first cut, and let me tell you... it is hard! iv'e had oatmeal with water, almonds and a protein shake and 4 lots of chicken in olive oil with mixed vedge and a tea spoon of organic peanut butter so far and the lack of carbs is killing me. Been smashing the green tea and plenty of water. i have been carb cycling so have my carb load day tommorrow! hate looking flat whilst on a cut too due to lack of glycogen. Anyone else been on a cut, whats your experience been like, any tips?

I just track my macros and calories, food choices don't matter as long as you get enough protein fat and micronutrients.

I don't care if i don;t add because that is what a bulk is for, i just hope i retain my strength and Lean mass. Do you do any HIIT? heard it can speed it up a little along side a strict diet

It isn't necessary but it can help and does allow you to eat more while still losing the fat. Also I haven't lost any muscle but my strength has just started to suffer, but I go on holiday on Wednesday and will be maintaining and then moving into a slow lean bulk when I return.

Which is of course, a good thing

Arriba Los Zorros Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 I cut the hedge today. Looks nice. no Jon I think thats trimming for summer
Carl the Llama Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 I cut the hedge today. Looks nice. Is it true that it makes things look larger down there?
AoWW Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 My neighbour cuts our grass. He's cut it twice in the last week, this seems excessive to me. Opinions...? He did cut around the daffodils and cowslips, though, which was nice of him.
JonnyBoy Posted 5 May 2013 Author Posted 5 May 2013 love how this has changed to cutting and trimming hedges!
Nugent Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 When cutting I reduce carbs and add 1 or 2 HIIT sessions per week while carrying on my usual training, but with reduced rest times between sets.

He did cut around the daffodils and cowslips, though, which was nice of him. I've had to get the mower on mine twice in the last week. With the bit of sun we've had and small bit of rain here or there, it's come back with a vengeance. I've also cut my losses, cut the bullschnit, and cut myself shaving.

Webbo Posted 5 May 2013 Posted 5 May 2013 Money talks. They shouldn't need bribing. they should do it for the love of their parents. Yeah, you're right.
