Started 4411 with Nuge playing deep and nullifying their ability to play long passes to pacey players... worked really well Later on we changed to 4231, it all seemed very fluid to be honest. Apart from Schlupp being caught twice & general nervousness around their obviously potential in our box we did it really well Great stuff from NP Although Wood's lack of mobility & inability to win a header almost ruined everything, when Kane was on & working the channels & drawing fouls we looked much better going forward Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rasmic123 Posted 9 May 2013 Share Posted 9 May 2013 Exactly, thought we bossed the midfield, King and James were excellent, and Knocky and Dyer had a lot of freedom. The only shortcomings were Wood was ineffective and Schlupp was inept in defence, Konchesky in for the 2nd leg as Schlupp is a great attacking option to have on the bench. Didn't push up really high to leave ourselves exposed but as soon as the ball got to their midfielders, we were all over them.
