Wood offered effort, pace, strength, aerial ability, decent finishing, control, bringing others into the game.... etc etc etc...... Kane. offers. Nothing. I also think that Wood would have been a better bet for tucking away the penalty

I swear some people will purposely forget things so they can prove their point in their head because they just HAVE to find a negative factor. We were eventually beaten by better players, players that are from a better league than our, players that have potential in a few years to be playing in the Europa cup and the Champions league. Our players (which are worth quarter theirs) put up a bloody good fight. Why can't people take that and applaud the team?

Anybody that wants Knocky to leave or be sold, fvck off right now! Nugent and King could have took it and missed. It's part of football.

topharry123 Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Alright I calmed down a little now my last post was in the heat of the moment....proud of the lads. Heartbreaking way to lose this game. Knocky should have let Nugent take the penalty, he let his own quest for personal glory come ahead of the welfare of the team. However, that's the kind of player he is and that's what has made him so good all season. Don't really know what else to say right now, gutted. I know a lot of people would like to make Knocky a scapegoat at this point and in the 10 minutes after the match I was one of them, but sitting back and taking it all in it was a penalty miss that he won and maybe he should have given it to someone else, he was a yard and a great save away from being the hero.
