Beat Rotherham 2-1 at home! I signed that lad on loan for Gainsborough in the Skrill North. He ripped it up. Won the league first season but just missed out on the Premier play-offs in season 2. Then noticed Vardy was a free agent, checked his stats and he was pretty poor and was without a club for a while until Rochdale signed him up. Had to quit the game and make Vardy a better player in the data editor and start again. No way is he as poor as this games database has him. Loving this game and can't understand peoples gripes with it.

Went on another phenomenal run at the end, won 8 and drew 1 of my last 9. My season actually reminded me a hell of a lot of Leicester this season. So many late goals and turnaround wins. Got given a budget of £1.69mil and a wage budget of £150k ahead of the season. Pleasantly surprised by the transfer budget but wages is shocking so I think I'm gonna throw it all on wages and rely on frees. I'm in for a tough season but to be honest I think even my current side is capable of beating some of the crap in that league and I cannot see Clermont or Dijon improving to my level. The timing's annoyed me. St Etienne finished rock bottom. They'd have been excellent for a raid but what hope do I have of getting Mevlut Erdinc? Already agreed to sign three free agents.
Beliall Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 i know what you mean. im currently deciding whether to sell schlembe for 200k (a fortune in SA ) or keep him, i know he'll want away soon after the season starts but hes a good player. im also planning on getting rid of several other "big names" as i dont like the work rate, determination or team work stats. but i dont have a full first team yet and dont want the dispruption of a too new playing squad. plus i cant sign many excellent players i like becasue of the clubs low rep.

Depends how far £200k will go in the long-term and if you think you can produce any decent players. I'm lucky at Le havre, I've had two five stars come through my youth system although that was in Ligue 2. A lot of patience is required at smaller clubs I've found.
Beliall Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 youth set up is ok here, give it 6 months ill get them to upgrade, they're already doing the training facilities as part of my conditions for joining (i didnt really want the job so asked and demanded everything i wanted, its literally impossible to not get a job here ) ive brought in a bargain on a free, currently 3 stars with 5 potential, plays DM, and D/RLC. only 23.

The longest for me was on FM12, got to about 2024 or something like that with Leicester. Won absolutely everything with them. Got to a point where it was getting too easy and boring

Beliall Posted 4 March 2014 Posted 4 March 2014 really happy with the players ive signed in pre season, and i managed to get the board to find a feeder club for the first time, star of afrcia have excellent youth and training facilities compared to me so my greatest prospects actually have a chance now
