Can't recall the last timeI didn't have at least one cracking date on the go. Could tell stories that would make me blush, even online !! I'm 6'1", good shape but just a very average looking bloke and I only date absolute stunners. I think women are far more attracted to confidence and humour than ever they are to chiselled good looks. Aren't we all ? You just need to be tenacious. And bold. As opposed to bald ..... although with a big smile, even that's probably okay !

It was about the time there was this 'friction' going on between me and this woman... you know where you pretend not to like each other but you both really do... well anyway we got into an argument and she then declared she was with someone and that it was 'getting serious' well of course I told her the same about me. You know saving face like. Well about a week after that I joined this online dating place, filled in all my details and low and behold her profile ( having only joined it a month ago, it said) was sent to me! cheeky mare! I must of popped up on her list too as next time we saw each other we were pretty embarrassed and didn't talk - avoided her after that!

You just find yourself sending tens of messages to women and getting no responses at all. It gives your already low self esteem another good kicking. I used POF for a bit last year and found it to be useless. Stick to bars and the more conventional means of meeting people. As said in the OP, you only have a chance if you are either loaded, or look like a Greek God. The women online hold all the aces and that's the way it will always be.

She could have broken it to you in a more compassionate manner . edit; thinking about it , she did try to sugar the pill though.

The strange thing about the online dating sites I’ve been on is that there are a massive number of women who could be considered BIG ladies. (they’re the ones who post a face and cleverage pic but nobody pic and state in their profile they are of 'average' build when they are in fact morbidly obese hogs). They must make up at least 50% of all profiles. It only means more men are competing for women of healthy weights. Remember a mate telling me years back what the F in POF really stood for
