Lobsterboyuk Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 I'll be trying for a shirt, what a season to bag a first team shirt. This team have been immense this season and they're well worth having IMO, let's hope it helps get them to that 100K figure, would love to see that happen

Lobsterboyuk Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 I've got this - don't even try. Already got one in the bag from the remembrance fixture but don't think I'll get one as cheap this time
gcah2013 Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 I'm half the reason Danny's has shot up immediately. Someone is testing my resolve.

broughtonblue Posted 27 April 2014 Posted 27 April 2014 We completed the final ride yesterday and had a convoy of 12 riders who joined me, my brother and Gaz We left Leicester at around 8.30am on Friday morning with Barnsley our destination which was around 79 miles. Everything was going well until Nottingham and the heavens opened, we were cycling for around 9 hours in wind and heavy rain, we had a few punctures on the way and a couple of people fell off (No one hurt) but we arrived at the Travelodge at around 9pm. We were all cold, wet and hungry so a quick shower, few beers and some food and we was in bed, We set off at around 8.30 am the next day for the very hilly 18 miles to Huddersfield. There were some tired faces and legs but we all pulled through and arrived in Huddersfield safely. All the riders were amazing and I can not thank them enough for what they have done for my brother, to see Leicester fans all come together for this ride was fantastic and when we crossed that finish line it was emotional and I do not mind admitting I cried. The Leicester fans have been so supportive this season to the textellis campaign and without it the goal would of been so much harder. I just want us to have one last push for the £100,000 target for next Saturday so we can reach it. If every fan in the ground donated £1 we would almost certainly hit the target and get the ball rolling for my Nephew. If any one wants to donate then please check out www.textellis.com and read all about what my brother is doing for his son Is anything planned for Donny? I know it's going to be busy beforehand with birches run and afterwards with the party, but half time? Or is it a clash of two great worthwhile causes, that the club would rather avoid?
Marmite Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 I think the club will be presenting the £23,000 cheque at half time - £1000 for every ride that was completed
Lobsterboyuk Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 I think the club will be presenting the £23,000 cheque at half time - £1000 for every ride that was completed Does the current 75k include any of that 23k yet?
Marmite Posted 28 April 2014 Posted 28 April 2014 Check out the players shirts on ebay that will be donated to the charity http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/skybetauctions/m.html?_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1
gcah2013 Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Does anyone know how much the Mahrez shirt and Champions banner each went for today?
fox123 Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Beautiful picture and a massive, massive congratulations on getting to their target. :top:
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 I texted a donation while on the train up and then got swiftly upstaged by Top. Typical. Seriously though, congratulations on completing the 23 trips and on meeting your donation target, I hope it leads to a break through in helping to treat Ellis's condition.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Incredible moment and an amazing gesture, so happy that textellis got through the target.
harpendenfox Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Just one of the many aspects of this season that has been so positive and special. As the Dad of a 15 year old with a different but still chronic life limiting illness I've been moved to tears by this campaign on several occasions. Best wishes to the family
Guest ttfn Posted 4 May 2014 Posted 4 May 2014 Congratulations on completing the ride and reaching your goal!
Lobsterboyuk Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 If you've got a few minutes spare, make sure you nominate Richard here: http://www.justgiving.com/en/justgiving-awards-2014
The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 I'm in the process of doing it now. Is it Simon Page?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 May 2014 Posted 29 May 2014 Done. He should bloody win this, but people need to vote!
broughtonblue Posted 31 August 2014 Posted 31 August 2014 Just wondering if there is an update on Ellis's condition/treatment?
