Stadt Posted 12 August 2013 Share Posted 12 August 2013 When Vardy isn't doing well he looks completely out of depth whereas Wood can pass the ball fairly well so links up better than Vardy
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 August 2013 Share Posted 12 August 2013 I'd got for Wood and Nugent if both fully fit and their heads are in the right place. Vardy does look better than last season at the moment though (although that's not hard) and looks like someone who could potentially play a decent part this season if he keeps it up. I don't think the strikers were really the problem yesterday though tbh. Apparently we had 13 attempts but I don't really remember us creating any real chances, even Wood hitting the post wasn't a great chance. It was just a dire game. Finn Claw II Posted 12 August 2013 Share Posted 12 August 2013 I think it is more important that Koncky plays so we have a bit more creativity in the middle. Vardy looks better than last season but Wood is the better player imo - os he starts for me.
One Arm Babba Posted 12 August 2013 Share Posted 12 August 2013 Vardy still for me. He didn't play badly against Leeds and Wood didn't do enough to earn a recall when he came on.

I agree go with proven strikers, get them both up to speed and the goals will come.Vardy has improved but is far from being a consistent scorer at this level, but had improved and could make some impact from the bench, but not starting for me. Fox in the North Posted 12 August 2013 Share Posted 12 August 2013 Id keep vardy for now while he's sharp and confident. It's more of a problem with supply and strength in midfield than the strikers as obviously without the ball they can't do much.
