nickm Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 I've been too quick in the past to moan at the first opportunity but some people on here need to chill. We're still second in the table and i'm sure we'd all have settled for that before the start of the season, there are 22 other teams in this league that'd gladly swap positions with us and that includes Forest. It's just another blip and we need to get used to them!
cityfanlee23 Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 I wouldn't say Moaning, just criticizing the performance, that is allowed you know? Your point aside (Which to an extent is very valid) Where would we be if we had taken our chances?..... TOP.

Your point aside (Which to an extent is very valid) Where would we be if we had taken our chances?..... TOP. And what does that mean this early into the season?? No ones moaning . There were no booing , i think anyone who saw the game would say it was a decent perfomance but it didnt go our way today. Like i said post match thread, we pick ourselves up and carry on. We are still in a very promising position in the league and there is still a long way to go so dont panic. League form goes straight out the window with games like this so just chill. I need an hours kip now!!
Guest shearfox Posted 9 November 2013 Posted 9 November 2013 We will bounce back, derbies always throw up odd results... they took their chances we didn't... that is all
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 I said last week, we will lose games. Again, the Championship is wide open. The key is to bounce back immediately. We must not now let our heads drop and lose the next couple. Personally, I don't think we will. We look more determined this season.
1964FOX Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 We are all very happy we are second and overall doing well but we lost to Forest so we are bound to be pissed off and moan a bit. It matters against them and typical we have are off day when playing them.

No need to over react see it was col's fault yesterday lol
MooseBreath Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 As is often the case there are far more of these "calm down", "our fans are fickle cvnts" posts than there are posts where people are complaining.
Guest Col city fan Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Thanks for holding your hands up col. No need to over react see it was col's fault yesterday lol It was horrible yesterday buddy.. Having to endure the 'Mull of Kintyre' bollox whilst losing two nil on the pitch was enough for me I'm afraid. Forest cvnts....
sylofox Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 It was horrible yesterday buddy.. Having to endure the 'Mull of Kintyre' bollox whilst losing two nil on the pitch was enough for me I'm afraid. Forest cvnts.... I bet I could not even bring myself to watch FLS. Just wish some would lighten up though it's one game ok one we hate loosing. But after one game person out nuge is shite drinkwater should be hung. FFS we are still second. Ps if it is that bad for anyone I can do a good deal on lenghts of rope atm.
formidable1 Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 FFS we are still second. Ps if it is that bad for anyone I can do a good deal on lenghts of rope atm. Oh why didnt someone just say? So as long as everyone else gets significant points deductions between now and the end of the season, our suspect performances will be okay, we will still crack it. Good to know that being second in November is deemed good enough for some.
Number 6 Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Actually, the comments I have seen on here have been almost exclusively reasonable and level headed. I think the league is there for the taking this season, some very poor sides in it and we've made ourselves a great foundation to build on.
Happy Fox Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 2nd place is ours I am convinced of it, can see QPR winning it , Burnley will fade off imo, when they lose Ings and Vokes come January.
formidable1 Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 To be perfectly frank. I would have prefered us to be in Ipswich's position than our own. Not far from the mix with the team starting to perform. A good time to gain some momentum going into the new year. I would imagine being shite and then coming good is infinately more satisfying than being mediocre for the most part, hitting the top spots and then drifting away, rudderless. Oh wait, that was last year..

Oh wait, that was last year.. It's a points business. Three points now is exactly the same as three points in April. It's still three points. Are you really suggesting you'd like to have LESS points than we have? And up until yesterday we were looking excellent. ... This one tops the lot

What I am suggesting is that I would like to be in the position of Ipswich. Shite start, expectations lowered and then the ability to go out and perform, ultimately taking points from teams that have had their purple patch. Taking points now matters little if they are going to have been wasted points at the business end of the season. Points on the board only matter come the season end and if we have accumalated more than our rightful share at this juncture, based on team performance and teams played, then I will be worrying come April or May.

Mate, how do you know that Ipswich will continue to 'go out and perform'? And how do you know that we won't? That makes no sense. If what you are saying is that the pressure that comes with being near the top results in our performances starting to dip, then I can buy into that. But you ask any Ipswich player or fan where they would rather be at this moment in time.
formidable1 Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Col. Performances on the whole so far this season already suggest that we are punching above our weight at the moment. Watford was a great win but it had the same flaws as other games this season, except we were lucky in that they had a bad day at the office.Burnley nick draws when they dont click, as do QPR. When we dont click, we look devoid of any hope of changing the game. We dont look strong enough to sustain our lofty position and that feeling didn't just arrive yesterday. We are a " Situation" team. We perform or not based on an event that has happened. By that I mean Charlton, we slated Kermo, he scored ( as he was always going to) and we had no answer because the script was already written. Watford events of last year, only one outcome last week. Forest yesterday, only one winner in that game, we had our joy last year, this time it was theirs. We are weak and cannot combat this inherent issue that has plagued us for years.

foxfanazer Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 Still massively proud of what we've done so far this season and optimistic that we can carry it on. Yesterday was really frustrating, mainly because of the chances we missed and the fact that forest were wank. This points average would see us promoted so lets not get too disheartened. If we only lose before international breaks then we'll be fine

I do however disagree. Our team looks far stronger mentally this season. We have cone back from a goal a few times to win games (which leicester never do). I also don't think we're punching above our weight at the top. There isn't a side in this division that we should fear imo. My pre season expectation was that we'd maybe scrape a playoff spot but our performances and new resilient attitude makea me think we could do better than that
Beliall Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 id be quite quite hapy to see us sit in second all season, getting into first might have the same curse as manager of the month
