fleckneymike Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 wrong, Sousa signed him because I remember Sousa being in charge against sunderland in the friendly and Waghorn came on for Sunderland and everyone loved it He was signed under Sousa's tenure, much in the same was Yuki Abe was, and Leon Crncic was (i.e. Milan signed him). Joined us just before Cov away.
LCFC FOX Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 I doubt that was the sole reason. It was, Sousa had such a shocking start he new that signing a fan favourite in Waghorn might give the fans some joy, wether this was the Thais who went and bought him I don't know
Happy Fox Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 It is pretty obvious it was the Thais do you think Milan could offer 40 Grand a week wages for Yuki?, or sign Waghorn for three million!, these signings were the Thais. I believe it was the Thais who wanted Sousa in charge and that ****ed up the moral when he was in the director's box during our Playoff semi final against Cardiff.

Milan could offer what ever he wanted because he knew he was selling the club to a bunch of blokes who knew bugger all about footy.
hackneyfox Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Thais on the guidance of Milan as an appeasement to our fan base Sousa wouldn't of heard of him waste of money. I was told that was exactly what happened, it was the only time I was ITK.
