cityfanlee23 Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Personally I think he still has potential to be a premiership regular if he gets his game time, I'd personally play him over schlupp, but I'd give him a go on left wing instead of dyer, He's a good crosser IMO and he's not a slouch, He's quite fast really, dyer gets some great chances that I think waghorn would use better, Don't sell
theessexfox Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Why would you bring this up now? And why would you criticise the man who set up both of our goals yesterday?

Nah
cityfanlee23 Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Why would you bring this up now? And why would you criticise the man who set up both of our goals yesterday? Because I have an opinion, The criticism was nothing to do with yesterday, I didn't see the game, im not sure what game you watched but obviously less than me, he set up 1 goal. the 1st was vardy, and the first goal, dyers cross was just as his name states. vardy could do nothing with it so good job he had the forsight to see nugent. its been my opinion for 2 seasons, And i brought it up because I was talking to a millwall fan about him, do you have a problem with this? Or should I run it past you before I post on the forum? why does it matter to you what I bring up and when? is he still a leicester player? Yes.
cityfanlee23 Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Play Waghorn out of position over Dyer (probably our best player for assists. Nah Out of position? He's played there many times for us.... Waghorn a premiership player Potentially he could be anything.. He's played 100 odd games for leicester and all round has been more good than bad, He done well in league 1 and looked like he could be a quality future prospect, but had injuries and was looked over on returns, to give him a patchy time since then, Could be another potential decent player player ruined by leicester city football club
foxfanazer Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Out of position? He's played there many times for us.... Potentially he could be anything.. He's a striker mate, he may have played on the wing for us before, doesn't mean he was any good at it.As for saying hes been more good than bad, are you being serious?

As for saying hes been more good than bad, are you being serious? He's more of a creator than a finisher, Rather play him on the wing IMO, Obviously this is all opinions, Yes, I'm being serious, I'd rather have him in the tent spitting out, than out of the tent spitting in.. obviously we will have to agree to disagree.

Fair play mate. It's not that I don't like him because I have already stated I'd keep him as an option off the bench if we can't get any better but I certainly wouldn't drag Dyer out of the side (who has been one of our top performers this season) to put Waghorn in. I think a move to a club like Millwall will do him the world of good, he wants to be playing week in week out which at the moment he isn't going to get here.

Completely agree, I just think dyer would be out of his depth if we go up mentally, he's not got that famous footballing brain although i agree this is his best season ever for us, Need a youngster to push him though for competition, his place is pretty much guaranteed every week!
Happy Fox Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 If we go up we will buy a Left winger very simple, we won't be relying on the likes of Waghorn etc.

Waghorn has stated quite clearly in a recent interview that he is a striker, that he doesn't want to play on the wing and will not join a club that wishes to play him on the wing. Plus he is shit.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Waghorn has had more than enough chances here. Time for him to move on. Millwall should suit his ability more.

Micky Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 no Is that definite. I hope not as he will most probably score!

dedlock Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 Waggy had a good half season when on loan.Who sanctioned his purchase? I doubt it was Sousa. It was about the time Mandick was selling to the Thais. An awful lot of money was paid for a player who never fulfilled that early potential.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Thais on the guidance of Milan as an appeasement to our fan base Sousa wouldn't of heard of him waste of money.

If I recall correct it was Mandy who signed him after Pearson left for Hull and before Sousa came in
Happy Fox Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 If I recall correct it was Mandy who signed him after Pearson left for Hull and before Sousa came in If you believe that you believe anything do you honestly think Milan had £3m to spend! doubt it, this was a Thai signing.
LCFC FOX Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 If I recall correct it was Mandy who signed him after Pearson left for Hull and before Sousa came in wrong, Sousa signed him because I remember Sousa being in charge against sunderland in the friendly and Waghorn came on for Sunderland and everyone loved it
The Horse's Mouth Posted 24 November 2013 Posted 24 November 2013 wrong, Sousa signed him because I remember Sousa being in charge against sunderland in the friendly and Waghorn came on for Sunderland and everyone loved it I doubt that was the sole reason.
