Corky Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 Matt, just blame the ref and move on, like the rest of us do
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 Are you serious? We've lost 3 games away yes, but look at our away form all season: 5 wins, 1 draw, 3 defeats: 16 points from 9 games - near enough 2ppg. Oh, and no team that wins the league would lose a game like this? Better ring Cardiff and tell them they didn't win the title last season given Peterborough did the double over them... Freak results happen, but on the whole we've been going very well. Yes of course I'm serious. If there is one thing that stops us getting automatic promotion it will be our form away from home. It won't be the home form. I think we're better overall, but can't afford to slip up like we did last night too often.
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 Right, I was quite relaxed last night saying we need to see how we bounce back, we need to move on, e.t.c, but now i've had time to reflect the pessimist in me has surfaced. (Come on people admit it, i've been very positive over the past month, maybe more, you have to admit). Obviously we have to see how we react and see if we bounce back on Saturday before we hit the panic button but i'm slightly worried, I fear deja vu might be setting in and the wheels might be coming off with the run in we have, I fear this may be our blip and whilst there is never a good time to have a blip this is one of the most crucial parts of the season, with some of our most important games coming up. We have Brighton away on Saturday, before you know it we'll have Burnley next Saturday then Man City in the cup (Which would be nice to win, but lets focus on the league), then it's QPR, before you know it we're into the Christmas period, games coming thick and fast, January appears and god knows where we'll be. Whist it may not be 'must win' time of year I feel a win on Saturday is very important just to calm us again, settle us, good to bounce back, but I think it'll be very tough on Saturday, if we do lose Saturday alarm bells will be ringing in the distance. Like I said last night hopefully we'll write last night off, move on, bounce back but i'm cautious and fearful of our next 4 games. We can assess it more on Saturday night I guess. MC Prussian... does this constitute 'doom mongering'? Just wondered like..
MC Prussian Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 MC Prussian... does this constitute 'doom mongering'? Just wondered like.. Thanks for evading my posts. And thanks for playing the victim card. Col... really? And... no.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 Instead of these Pearsonite and Doom-monger tags can't the drama be played out using the format of musical dance whilst calling each other Sharks & Jets?
MC Prussian Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 Instead of these Pearsonite and Doom-monger tags can't the drama be played out using the format of musical dance whilst calling each other Sharks & Jets? Great idea, yet I'd still miss the choir with "WE'RE DOOMED" on repeat in the back.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 Stick behind the manager and the players. Nothing is settled yet. One defeat doesn't make us losers in the Championship. We will lose again, and so will every other team, so let's not get the back of the players and manager, until we reach the end of the season, should we fail to get promoted. If I can do that, then so can anybody.

maxwelld_ Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 We need 1 poor performance a month as we don't want the dreaded Manger of the Month award do we !
harpendenfox Posted 5 December 2013 Posted 5 December 2013 It's the end of July. A pundit suggests we will have 38 points from the first 18 games, and joint leadership of the Championship. Firstly I'd suggest he's nuts, secondly I'd bite his hand off. We're in a tremendous position. Fans and players alike need to grasp, and treat every game like a Cup Final from now on in. Hugely excited about visiting Brighton on Saturday
