FoxG2 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I was wondering what's the record for the championship league wins on the trot, what ever it is I expect Reading holds it?
darko2k7 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 14 Manchester United, 15.10.1904 to 03.01.1905Bristol City, 09.09.1905 to 02.12.1905Preston North End, 25.12.1950 to 27.03.1951
FoxG2 Posted 30 January 2014 Author Posted 30 January 2014 Thanks for that, can't see is beating 14 wins
DanTheMan Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Thanks for that, can't see is beating 14 wins Me either - the odds are slim... bound to chuff it up somewhere along the line in the next 6 matches! Although, I seem to remember thinking the planets would have to align for a playoff place a few months back on a sunny afternoon in early May
Captain... Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 14 Manchester United, 15.10.1904 to 03.01.1905 Bristol City, 09.09.1905 to 02.12.1905 Preston North End, 25.12.1950 to 27.03.1951 I guess that wasn't technically the Championship, so we could beat the Championship record, then aim for the second tier level.
AKCJ Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 What is the Championship record then? Suppose Reading got it in '06.
MC Prussian Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 What is the Championship record then? Suppose Reading got it in '06. They won ten games in a row that season. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005–06_Reading_F.C._season
Leicester_Numan Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 They won ten games in a row that season. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005–06_Reading_F.C._season We can certainly win the next 2 but win number 11 would be Forest away unless it's in danger of being moved because they're in the cup.

Someone said it would be moved to the following Tuesday/Wednesday, so it would still be them, and after hopefully a punishing cup tie... Our Feb: Championship Bournemouth V Leicester Sat 1 Feb 15:00 Championship Leicester V Watford Sat 8 Feb 15:00 Championship Nottm Forest V Leicester Sat 15 Feb 15:00 Championship Leicester V Ipswich Sat 22 Feb 15:00 Forests Feb: Championship Nottm Forest V Yeovil Sun 2 Feb 15:00 FA Cup - Fourth Round Preston V Nottm Forest Wed 5 Feb 19:45 Championship Blackpool V Nottm Forest Sat 8 Feb 15:00 Championship Huddersfield V Nottm Forest Tue 11 Feb 19:45 Championship Nottm Forest V Leicester * Sat 15 Feb 15:00 Championship Burnley V Nottm Forest Sat 22 Feb 15:00 *With an away trip to Sheffield United or Fulham on the 15th if they beat PNE and then play us on the 18th/19th (apparently) Would much rather have our Feb.
Kyle_Le_Don Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Last time a team managed eight it was Reading. Wasn't Derbys run 8 on the bounce or was did they get draws in there Too?

Cheers, shame it wouldn't be played a week later than that. As brilliant and bloody hilarious as it would be to beat Reading's 10 wins at Forest, I'd have preferred Ipswich at home. That's assuming we win the next 2 of course.
