Nige and Steve Walsh dismissed all of Sven's scouting staff. That's largely common practice. As a manager leaves he brings in his own staff. However, they didn't even bother to contact most of the scouts working for lcfc that they were longer needed. Didn't even pay them for their last bit of work.

There's no contracts in scouting, in fact the majority of lower league scouts are paid expenses only and they do it in a bid to get higher up the chain. The more the successful the club does or a certain player they scouted becomes, the more likely they are to be kept by the manager or employed by a head scout from a Prem club.

Yeah I saw them talking about that on the footballers football show on sky, it seems totally ruthless. But with regards to Pearson I can't exactly blame him for binning off the scouts who were working for Sven.

The scouts under Sven were ****ing awful then, we didn't unearth any hidden gems really nor did we do our homework on the players that were brought in

For me, the right thing to do is to sign top players from the league we are currently in.

The likes of creswell for example, and ings if burnley are not promoted. You may have to spend a bit on transfer fees short term, but long term their wages will not be ridiculous.

Southampton have benefited from signing the likes of rodriguez.

Would love us to sign the two best fullbacks in the league...

Cresswell and Trippier.

You would drop de laet ? No way in my opinion!

I see it as follows

New left back needed

Creative mid

New prem quality striker

Back up CB

Couple more strong squad additions

The thing I find the most shocking is that Sven actually had scouts.
