Unabomber Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Currently making a pizza baked potato. Microwave a potato until cooked, and while that is cooking fry diced onion, garlic, chilli and chopped pepperoni, then add chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper basil and oregano and simmer. Once the potato is cooked through, add the sauce and then top with mozzarella cheese, then put in a hot oven or under the grill until the cheese is melted.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 For a treat I make triple decker pizza toasted sardines. 3Slices of bread with tomato purée, mozzerella, cheddar and Red Leicester, and whatever toppings I fancy Stack it all up and voila.
Hollism Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Here's one that takes a bit of time, as it's a roast, but it's flippin' heaven! Pork loin in roasting tin, get some garlic, (mashed, chopped it or use a puree) and rub it in. Sprinkle on some ground pepper, then chop some red onions and put them round. Nothing weird so far, but then... Pour ginger beer over your pork until there's about an inch depth around it in the tin. Cover in foil, bung in the oven at gas mk 3 (no idea what that is on an electric oven) and leave for 3-4 hours, depending on the size of the joint of course. It's important to cook it slowly for a long time. When done, remove pork from tray - and this is the important bit - pour out the ginger beer to a jug or bowl and add gravy granules (or stock cubes if you like thin gravy) to make your gravy for the meal. Of course you could always mix your gravy in the tin. I make this quite often and it's delish! I've been tempted to try this with ginger wine, but it obviously adds some expense to the meal. Maybe save it for a special occasion. Aldi sell ginger wine for about £3.50 a bottle and it really is good. Thanks for sharing that recipe though, I'll have to try it soon (with ginger beer)

Unabomber Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 That sounds grand.. Was really tasty, I will definitely be making it again maybe with different flavours.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Rooting about in my work rucksack for something this morning I discovered not one but four forgotten Morrisons own Nutrigrain copy bars, smashed to bits within their wrappers. The bits chucked in a bowl with some milk and hey presto the most satisfying breakfast I've had in a long while
potter3 Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Buttered weetabix. No seriously, try them. With milk? Waterproofs the top to keep it nice and crisp (yet not too dry, what with the butter) but the bottom is nice and soft.
Rincewind Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 When in Germany, one of the things people hadfor breakfast was cream on bread with jam. Not bad.
NewburyFox Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Anyone seen those Morrisons pizzas that are covered in sweets as a topping? Look absolutely disgusting but I've always been tempted to try one.
