MONreborn Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Does anyone one have a history of these per season? I know it sounds a bit sad and nerdy but inspired by the Blackpool attendance thread it would be good to know the difference and the price increases. Whilst filbert street values would also be good, if we could get the prices at the king power/walkers for particular areas that would be a great comparison. Also possibly something to use when persuading the club to make tickets more affordable. I don't think it's possible to do a freedom of information request the best bet is if you guys have kept hold of receipts, match day programmes with prices in them?
brisfox Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Back in 1973, i was paying £20 a season for a seat in the double decker
AndWhat? Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 I can check all my away tickets from 2003 till now, didn't keep my season tickets though. Will give you an dea of other teams.
davieG Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 1988/89 Season Prices Season Tickets (seating) Adults £95-£130 Juveniles £60 - £65 Seniors £40
red5 Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Back in 1973, i was paying £20 a season for a seat in the double decker In 1973 a mechanics wage was £40/week, I wish a season ticket was half my weekly earnings now.
AndWhat? Posted 13 March 2014 Posted 13 March 2014 Well from the away tickets that I can still read in 03: Spurs away £25 Birmingham away £30 Leeds away £26 Man Utd away £27 Blackburn away £23 Charlton away £20 Would love to see how much they will be next season! oh wait, only 2 of them are still in the Prem From the 04/05 season the cheapest ticket was a tie between Wigan and Preston at £17 and the most expensive at Forest costing £31 '31 quid and we'll stand up' back in the days were our ends weren't guaranteed to stand at even Forest away!
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 £440 got you a seat in the executive tier of the Carling Stand in 96/97. Now I'm not even sure you can sit in the Kop for a season for that.
thybluefox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 £440 got you a seat in the executive tier of the Carling Stand in 96/97. Now I'm not even sure you can sit in the Kop for a season for that. Just less than half of that for corporate now.

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I think this is from 98/99, give or take a season.
foxer Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I think this is from 98/99, give or take a season. Some stunning use of clipart there.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Some stunning use of clipart there. The innovation of Microsoft Publisher '97 was an exciting time for us all.
Fox Ulike Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I can tell you that it used to cost £2 (cash on the turnstile) to stand in front of the old main stand. This was back in 1985, and was for Division One (ie top level) footy. The view was shite, and there was some danger of being hit with a Quality Street thrown into the crowd by Bryan Hamilton...
Alexikokopops Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 Some stunning use of clipart there. I'm surprised you could look past the quite frankly startling charge of £1.50 for an order by fax. I'm outraged.
MattFox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 1st season at filbert way. Our last promotion campaign. Most expensive ticket £26 compared to £40 this season
