Lamby Posted 3 April 2014 Posted 3 April 2014 Lamby, thanks for that... You beat the champions.... What else did you do that season though? Finish 9th and beat Barnsley 6-0
Vardinhio Posted 3 April 2014 Posted 3 April 2014 Ah fairplay for a decent post. I would hate Leicester to start playing in random colours so I have sympathy for you.
Fox92 Posted 3 April 2014 Posted 3 April 2014 Squad was average but not many teams do go up with a great squad ready for top flight football (maybe apart from Newcastle and West Ham)... Always going to be difficult to improve and attract 'Premier League' players imo but I look at Hull for example and I'm pretty impressed with how good, and somewhat coy, Bruce was in the transfer market. He addressed a lot of their problems and they've had a good season.
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 April 2014 Posted 3 April 2014 Pablo can't argue with much of your post.. However the piss taking is wide of the mark... Difference in our positions though? You a championship side and we are a premiership side. You're right, I really envy you now you've put it like that.
Raj Posted 3 April 2014 Posted 3 April 2014 Dont like being nasty to any posters but Cardiff should be playing TNS and Rhyl along with Swansea.
Grandad. Posted 3 April 2014 Posted 3 April 2014 Oh my God, a Cardiff and Charlton discussing last season. Wow. The only bearable things about Cardiff are Craig Bellamy and their fans at Anfield this season, they were bloody impressive that day, for The Kop to clap the away supporters and even join in with their chants then they did something right, brilliant day that was. Fact is, Cardiff will be relegated this season, still trying to get my head around appointing Solskjaer, yeah he did well with Molde but does that CV mean you're the right man for a relegation dog fight in the Premier League? I would probably say not. Oh and Manwell the Mackay certainly had funds, the man spent £8million on Andreas Cornelius.
Aj1927 Posted 4 April 2014 Author Posted 4 April 2014 Rumours going around that apparently you boys almost signed him for 600k the window before he signed for us? Either by all accounts Malky and Moody Laced their own pockets In that deal..
Aj1927 Posted 4 April 2014 Author Posted 4 April 2014 Regards the colours, if anyone saw soccer am last Saturday Johnny Owen was on plugging the Movie Svengahli, what he said hit the nail on the head for me.
Aj1927 Posted 4 April 2014 Author Posted 4 April 2014 Dont like being nasty to any posters but Cardiff should be playing TNS and Rhyl along with Swansea. Would honestly think that a supporter of a team in the football league would have a tad bit more knowledge of the league and it's origins. When the Football League was founded it was not called the English League because it hoped to attract clubs from outside of England (Welsh, Scottish and Irish clubs entered the FA Cup in its early days). Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham - along with clubs like Aberdare Athletic, Merthyr Town and Newport County joined the League because it offered the best games and so better revenue. In later years Welsh clubs playing in the Football League could play in Europe via the Welsh Cup, but not through any English competition. When UEFA rules changed allowing only teams who play in their own national competition to represent them in Europe Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham had a chance to leave the Football League and enter the Welsh League. They didn't for the same reason as they originally joined the Football League .
Aj1927 Posted 4 April 2014 Author Posted 4 April 2014 Indeed, all while keeping our traditions... Taken from last home game....

Harry - LCFC Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Taken from last home game.... You seem to have a lot of trouble making your mind up tbh. I think that's a great photo, it's exactly what I want to see from supporters but I've also seen images where red was the dominant colour. I also thought there were slightly more red scarves and shirts than blue when I visited last season. This is all from my viewpoint of course but it seems to me that there haven't been enough committing to blue. I hope things are starting to change over there, with Hull the FA have shown that the fans' voice might be listened to if it's loud enough.
Grandad. Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Rumours going around that apparently you boys almost signed him for 600k the window before he signed for us? Who Liverpool did?!
Grandad. Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 no leicester I was gonna say. **** me, I know we were struggling to attract players but that would be scraping the barrel.
Aj1927 Posted 4 April 2014 Author Posted 4 April 2014 There was free scarves handed out last season. Which would explain why you saw so much red. There have been lots of fans who have supported the club for years, that have just walked away. And such is the clamour and demand for Premier League football every fan who walked away, there was about plenty new fans who were willing to take her/his place. What the worst thing is for me is that worldwide some football fans would've been seeing Cardiff for the first time, first impressions last.
