Jimothy Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 The only player I know had a brief spell in Turkey is Matthew Lowton at the Ferencvaros, but I wouldn't have thought he played enough to pick up too many bookings?
StanSP Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Correct. He picked up 10 all last season. Which team had the best away record in the Championship last season?
Jimothy Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Correct. He picked up 10 all last season. Which team had the best away record in the Championship last season? 10 yellows! He doesn't seem a dirty player. This is going to be someone unexpected isn't it? Blackpool?
One Legged Beaver Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Correct. He picked up 10 all last season. Which team had the best away record in the Championship last season? Watford would be my guess, their counter attacking football was more suited away from home?
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Who scored the 100th hat-trick in the Premier League? (Clue, it was in 1999). +1 rep point if you can name the opponents and/or scoreline. Dennis Bergkamp?
MPH Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Name the 4 players who have played in the Manchester, Merseyside and Madrid derbys. . Correct. Anelka (Liverpool, Madrid, Man City) Owen (Liverpool, Madrid, Man Utd) McManaman (Liverpool, Madrid, Man City) Hughes (Everton, Barcelona, Man Utd) . No wonder I couldn't work it out..... isn't the Madrid Derby usually between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid?
Soar Fox Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 . No wonder I couldn't work it out..... isn't the Madrid Derby usually between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid? I thought that aswell when I re-read it. The question must be wrong seen as it's not a Madrid Derby. Here's where I got the question from http://web.orange.co.uk/p/football/ask_the_gaffer?type=latest&p=2
StanSP Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Watford would be my guess, their counter attacking football was more suited away from home? Correct! Dennis Bergkamp? Nope.
MPH Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Correct! Nope. was it before or after the turn of the millennium?
Stadt Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 One of them's ArshavinYeah, the other player scored both of the 4 goal hauls - fairly obvious as well.
Jimothy Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Yeah, the other player scored both of the 4 goal hauls - fairly obvious as well. Lampard
Stadt Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 LampardYeah,Lampard a few years ago was fantastic, how we never did anything with a midfield of Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard I don't know.
Jimothy Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Yeah, Lampard a few years ago was fantastic, how we never did anything with a midfield of Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard I don't know. Without turning this into a discussion thread, we did nothing because whilst Lampard is a great scorer of goals, he's not as good a player as the other two, and you can't just play you're 11 best players. England could boast the 11 best strikers in football, but you'd be mad to start them all.
marko Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Since the start of the Premier League there have been six players called Paul who have scored 25 goals or more, can you name them?
Jimothy Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Since the start of the Premier League there have been six players called Paul who have scored 25 goals or more, can you name them? 25 in total? I'm guessing not 25 in a season, not many players have done that.
marko Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 25 in total? I'm guessing not 25 in a season, not many players have done that. Yeah, 25 or more Premier League goals in their career.
One Legged Beaver Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Since the start of the Premier League there have been six players called Paul who have scored 25 goals or more, can you name them? Dickov, Scholes and Ince?
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Correct! Nope. Was it against City by any chance? Think Anelka got one for Arsenal against us that sort of time.
Ross-Kemp Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Merson and maybe Kitson ? The only other one I can think of (Paul) would be Rideout but I don't think he scored that many goals ?
marko Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Merson and maybe Kitson ? The only other one I can think of (Paul) would be Rideout but I don't think he scored that many goals ? And we have the full house! Scholes, Merson, Ince, Dickov, Rideout, Kitson. Rideout and Kitson were the ones that stumped me initially.
