The wild wild wild one is a rip-off but I don't mind it. Best midfield in the world just doesn't work for me, it's got to rhyme.

Thought it was OK up there today. As usual the rest of the Kop were crap.

It was good in parts yesterday .....same. Old problem of a few songs being done that not enough people know and tbh 'best midfield in the world' will never catch on .... But the old Slade 'c'mon Leicester boys' could work as it's easy to pick up! How many times as it been said that some of the songs are sang far too fast though to get the whole crowd going? The boys to the left joined in when it got going a bit

That's a shame. It caught on pretty quickly and is easy to learn. Who else sings it Dan?

In my opinion it's more when the rest of the crowd join in that the songs become too fast & die out. Most of them start off at a sensible pace but the more people that join in, the faster they seem to get, to the point where the chant's not sustainable anymore & dies off while everyone catches their breath. Ring of fire being the prime example. It's definitely a problem but I'm really not sure how you stop it from happening.

Man United sang a version of it for Moyes that has been revised a few times including by us last year on the train back from Burnley:

**** off David Moyes

Wenger touches boys

We've got Nige Pearson

We've got Nige Pearson

Not the greatest or classiest but when you've had 15 pints by 4pm it sounded the best thing in the world.

Agree with you about the pace of songs. It happens when people join in with the clapping but not the actual singing. The singing acts as a natural pace setter but as soon as that is overwhelmed by the speed of the clapping it just gets ridiculous.

EDIT: to add to that, a few lads started singing a really slow version of WYS yesterday. It was a great example of a song being too slow for people to really be interested in joining in. It's almost as if people have such a short attention span that they can only sing for 20 seconds without getting bored. Very odd.

Chelsea had their own version of the WIld Wid Wild song in response to United for most of last season. Swansea also have their 'Come on Wilfred Bony, score some goals for Swansea' which was pretty loud at their place this season.

Don't enjoy listening to some of the songs that come up though which means I'll have zero motivation to join in with them. I'm primarily talking about the rip off of the Palace song (not WLY, the other one), simply because it's completely associated with Crystal Palace.

If UFS all get together and say 'this is the pace we're going to do it at' and just stop singing when it speeds up that ought to work. There are probably only a few people who aren't intelligent enough to keep pace with a song but once they start getting involved everyone else feels they have to speed up too in order to keep it going.

If you just end it every time it gets to the wrong pace that should force people to stay in time as they'll see it break down if they go too fast.

Blame me for some of the songs yesterday, truth be told told I'll sing anything. Please feel free to tell me to shut up lol.

C-man is right out WYS,I'm beginning to think it's pointless trying to slow it down. This is a shame because it could be amazing and personally I can't stand the fast version we seem to have adopted. Also regarding WLY,I reckon there's only about 4 clubs that don't sing it now,I'd be happy to never hear it again.

I wouldn't mind us singing a song that's of the tempo some were singing WYS yesterday, they can sound fantastic if done properly. WYS just isn't that song I don't think.

I'm with you on WLY. As football league-esque as they come.

I've been guilty of no shows at the S & R most of the season, think next game it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a proper discussion about this kind of thing.

Think you're bang on there tbh.

Yeah thinking about it I remember Swansea singing this. Remember thinking it sounded decent but I never cottoned on yesterday. That'll be where our fans got it from then...

Soup Nazi ..... At least you had a good go at it yesterday!

We should get the first verse of the song everyone now starts with the second verse ..... ' bring on Sunderland and Arsenal' going how it always used to:

Who's that team we call the Leicester

Who's that team we all adore

We're the boys in blue and white

And we'll fight with all our might

So you won't beat Leicester anymore ..............

Bring on the Sunderland and Arsenal etc

That way you've got two verses and it's less repetitive so even singing them twice gets a decent airing for a genuine Leicester song from the past!

Yep totally right about singing the two verses,I know you've tried in the past and and so have I but maybe we need to keep plugging away until it catches on.One of my favourites tunes that one.

Regarding having a go,it is a good laugh most of the time but I really have got to stop banging on the back as my hand is in agony.

Lets get a flag with Roy Cropper's head on it.

Brilliant, shame you didn't mention this last week as we've just placed an order and they've already shipped them.

For those that hadn't seen in the FCC thread, I was picked for the South Stand (18-30 category) and will be able to represent Union FS on the committee. Clearly this is great news for the group but unfortunately I will be unable to attend on Wednesday given the short notice given.

Not a problem, though, as we have confirmed with the Club that we will have a representative there.

Personally, I'd like us to encourage the club to do a review of the drum situation. Do L1 want/need it? Is it too big? Would the Kop benefit from having a smaller one in SK1 (to perhaps save Soup Nazi's hands...)? We know that Jobber doesn't particularly want to do it so is there a better option?

Opening that debate up to everyone in both areas would be the first step - it should be up to the fans to decide, not the Club.

I generally thought someone already had a drum up there Saturday lol

Maybe a drum would be good in sk1. That way everyone can keep in time to the drum. Which hopefully is slower. I think the club would like to move the drum to SK1. Let's face it they would sooner have all them in L1 and K1 moved to the KOP away from the away fans.

Yes I'd be up for a drum but for me it has to be smaller than the one in L1.It wouldn't have to be used all the time and we wouldn't need it to start songs, there's enough people willing to start them anyway.

In my mind I can see us all bouncing and singing, drum banging and flags flying. Some might say pigs will fly but you never know.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before at an FCC meeting but please suggest scrapping 'Hey Jude'. It's tedious to have to stand through it before each game and kills some of the pre match atmosphere / tension for me.

agreed with what you said about the drum it would be good and stop the banging on the back which the club don't like. About the flags are we allowed them? I'd love to buy a biggish flag on a pole. Always thought they looked great when teams use them. Like at Anfield, Old Trafford and Selhurst Parm

Adding colour, flags etc to the area is something that long-term will be great, but for me the priority has to be to get a unified singing section together. Pretty displays look awesome but non-stop singing and getting the rest of the Kop doing it is what really makes a difference.

Could see a lot being put off by the idea of a drum but as long as it's a decent drummer then I see absolutely no reason not to, to be honest.

Would cheerfully chip in for this bloke's air fares.
