Yeah I agree.

It's different to tiredness, it's not managing to have the same intensity or adrenaline levels after your objective has been completed.

Someone has mentioned Bayern Munich and it's exactly the same, hadn't lost since 2012 and then lost two on the bounce after the title had been confirmed.

I understand the point we are still fighting for the title but it's still very tough to reach the same intensity when what you set out to achieve has happened.

Said the same during the match.

Nugent and Morgan must have played a lot of minutes this season so it's no surprise that their performances are tailing off.

March and April is the business end of the season and the intensity with which we have played could be showing towards the end of two very fixture-heavy months.

It's exactly the reason I have no issue with what Pearson did at Wigan and with him making the changes tonight to bring in Dyer and Hammond. We can't play our strongest 11 for 90 minutes in every league and cup game over the course of a season.

It's a blip and I'm glad it's happening now rather than 4 games ago

Agreed, rather now promotion is secure, and the championship more or less in the bag aswell

Just got back, didn't think we were that bad?

The moaners are out in force after a 1-1 draw away at a side chasing the Play-Offs when our promotion is already assured then?

not being a moaner but some people maybe being a bit over defensive. The result doesn't matter too bad were still defo gonna win the league so no need to over criticize, BUT that wasnt any vintage performance and weve had 6 days off so fitness inst too much of an excuse. we played alright and it was an acceptable performance just thought we lacked a little urgency in the last 10-15 mins when we could of really grabbed the win. I would of also gone with matty in midfield but im not a manager and nigel is one of the best ones so cant argue against that. Danny had a great game too

Fatigue isn't just physical.

Didn't say it was.

But Fatigue can only be solved through rest. Playing poorly for 45-60 mins, and then playing better for the last 30 suggests that Fatigue, whether mental or physical, is not the problem.

People seem to forget how shit we've been in recent years. Just imagine todays team coming up against our side from 06/07. We should really get off our high horse and give the players fair praise for bringing us back to the promise land.

Nigel has said from day one, that his objective is PROMOTION, he has achieved that and it makes perfect sense that once you have got the result you are playing for... you will ease up, not necessarily by choice or desire, simply by having done the job, the brain settles, the body relaxes.

oh and by the way... it was a fvcking away draw to a top 8 side... ill take that in round one, let alone after we are confirmed as promoted.

It's not fatigue, not team selection, just sometimes it does not happen,if you go through the season you will see games we have been brilliant and other games gritty... that's the nature of the beast.
